A/N: Written forPixie Paramount on KH Requests. She asked for Sora/Kairi and water lilies. This took e a while mainly because I have no idea how to work the two together in a way that wasn't totally cliché and cheesy. This is still unashamedly fluffy, though. Knowledge of The Lion King II would be useful for this one.

"The monkey is talking."
"That's what's bothering you?" Sora asks incredulously. "We're not human anymore, we're floating along a psychedelic river in a giant water lily shaped like a heart, there are heart-clouds in the sky with hippos on them, and we're about to go over a giant waterfall – and the talking monkey is what bothers you?"
"The monkey isn't just talking, Sora. He's singing."
Sora pauses, thinking about this. "Actually, he's not a monkey, he's a baboon."
"And actually, I never said it bothered me, I just found it … odd." Kairi turns eyes on him that are no less blue for being leonine. "You never mentioned any of this when you asked me along to visit Simba. I thought it'd be all grass and antelope."
There is grass and there are antelope, but Sora never expected them to be floating past wearing gooey expressions, against a backdrop of purple and yellow tufts, either.
"I never knew this stuff was here," he admits, rubbing the back of his head and wincing. Oh yeah, claws. He really needs to learn how to retract those.
"Does it bother you?"
"Me? Naw. This is peanuts compared to some of the places I've been." He watches the approaching drop with some trepidation. He may have seen and done some pretty incredible things on his travels, but never before has he been expected to fly using a giant leaf. The magic of the keyblade prickles in the back of his mind, ready to release to save them.
He blinks when a paw touches his. "Then why should it bother me either?"
His smile shows fangs.
They surge forward, the semi-comforting rush of water suddenly not beneath them anymore. "Here we go!" Sora yells, gripping her paw awkwardly, trying to think happy thoughts like he did when he flew with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, while also trying not to claw Kairi.
There's a whoosh, and a noise like billowing black leather, then a sharp tug.
Sora looks up. "Well what do you know? They do fly."
Fin.
