"Let me tell you my story..." says a young female voice, "My name is Ai, and I am 15."
~Chapter One~
Our story begins... yesterday. So much happened that day... it seemed like an eternity. I wore a black dress which was open in the back for my white wings to be free. I walked through the sea of trees, which gave beautiful clouds of Sakura all-year-round. You could almost see the wind because it carried so many blossoms with it. It was heaven for me… I walked to a nearby hot spring, which was towards the middle of this haven, but had only a few blossoms floating on top. I undid the lace and my dress fell to the ground. Covering my chest, I walked into the water and relaxed… *SPLASH!* I looked up in surprise, expecting something or someone big, but instead found a small obsidian box. When I opened it I saw I beautiful purple necklace. It was like a long diamond, tied off with a string made of a cloth I've never seen before. The string appeared cut on the side opposite of the gem. Without questioning its origin I placed it upon my neck, and the string reattached with itself as though it was waiting for me. Slightly frightened, I tried to take of the necklace, but it refused to leave my neck. I gave up, stood up, and put my dress back on. I carefully tied the lace. Becoming sleepy I ran back to my home, wishing I could use my wings. I knew they wouldn't fully grow until I turn 18. On my way home a storm suddenly began. All the cherry blossoms were blown away, and the sky grew dark. Running faster than ever I tripped, but I fell through the ground. Bewildered and afraid, I closed my eyes, as I fell straight down… to Earth.
~Chapter Two~
I fell straight down, onto Earth. My eyes closed, my heart racing, my wings bend helplessly... a bright light appeared. So bright, I could see it with my eyes closed. I felt like I was floating now, so I opened one eye and peered at the light. It was my necklace! I looked carefully at it, and saw a character glowing inside of it: 羽. this kanji meant wing, so I called it out like a spell, "羽-WINGS!"And my wings grew to full size, allowing me to fly to the nearest patch of trees. I was new at flying, and on my way down my right wing got caught on a branch. I reached the snow covered ground, and my wings returned to normal size as the necklace returned to normal. I was cold, lost, and bleeding. I must have laid there for nearly an hour when a teenage boy wondered into the woods. I wished to run away, but I was too cold to move. As the boy made his way up to me, a shiver went through me; starting in my chest and ending in the tip of my wings. He held a lantern up to me and looked over me carefully. "You alright?" he said. He was tall, 6'3" it seemed, brown hair that seemed nearly blond, with brown eyes that had a greenish tint. "Y-yeah," I said nervously. My heart raced as though I had fallen for him. "My name is Len. Can you stand Miss…?" "Ai, my name is Ai." "Ai," he whispered quietly. "Can you stand?" he said as he reached for my hand, helping me to my feet. "S-sure," I replied taking his hand. He helped me up and we walked to his house. "So," he said breaking the silence between us, "you have wings huh?" "Yeah," I said, afraid he'd reject me. "That's pretty cool," he said as he smiled, "Pretty necklace too." I blushed and we walked into his warm lit house together.
