Daphne's Twelve Days of Christmas
A/N: Hiya! This one shot is written for day twelve of the Countdown to Christmas Drabble / Oneshot Competition (link can be found in my bio)
Prompt: Twelve Days of Christmas
This is written so it can be sung along to the tune of twelve days of Christmas, though sorry it may not be perfect. In this story (and my world of headcanons) Daphne has an older brother Sean, her younger sister Astoria, and a younger brother Rowan
Disclaimer: I do not own any rights to the Harry Potter series nor am I making any money from writing this, just having a lot of fun!
Enjoy :)
...
On the first day of Christmas, my father gifted me: a marriage proposal signing off my life. (thanks dad.)
On the second day of Christmas, my mother gifted me: two ruby candles with a scent to wake me up at 6am. (oh yay...)
On the third day of Christmas, my brother gifted me: three little notebooks, two of which we're black, and the third was red and blue and green and gold. (All the colours!)
On the fourth day of Christmas, my sister gifted me: four scathing looks, one because she can, two for mother's scolding, and a final one cos Sean vanished her door. (Totes my fault?)
On the fifth day of Christmas, my brother gifted me, five chocolate frogs, four Zonko's Fizz Blocks, three red snakes, two pancake pasties and a casket full of Every Flavour Beans. (He's a great little bro.)
On the sixth day of Christmas, my father gifted me: six angry letters, and five howlers, he was not impressed, I'll not marry Art, he's a massive tool and I have never ever loved him. (Art understood, though)
On the seventh day of Christmas, my mother gifted me: seven title deeds, just to show her pride - five overseas - one in south Madrid, a couple east of Berlin, I still got Redditch Manor, and a beach out somewhere in Marazion. (Had to check a map for that.)
On the eighth day of Christmas my brother gifted me: eight puzzle pieces, they turned into a ticket, a week in Switzerland, five whole days, sleeping in a castle, Pansy tagged along, I loved it, every second, and I wish I didn't have to go home. (Pansy shared that wish.)
On the ninth day of Christmas, my sister gifted me: nine big surprises, nine genuine hugs, just because she loves me, forget what dad says, she loves me, she plait my hair, I did hers, by the firefight, and we giggled, giggled all night long. (It was great.)
On the tenth day of Christmas, my brother gifted me: ten garden mud cakes, made all by himself, topped with real flowers, 'cept mum had freeze charmed 'em, they were all awesome, and so so cute, they're in my room, window sill, vanity shelves, and assorted all the way around the room. (Seriously, they're adorable!)
On the eleventh day of Christmas my father gifted me: eleven ultimatums, changed them every time, "I will kick you out", "do as you are told", "i'll disinherit you", "don't make your mum cry", it just went on, then Art showed up, yelled dad down, we left for his, and my friend just drew and drew, distracting me. (He's kind like that.)
On the twelfth of Christmas, my mother gifted me: twelve richful blessings, she'd convinced our relatives, I was in the clear, no more marriages, organised by them, just focus on my future - business, government, what? - I'm so confused, still it's Christmas Eve, think ahead, I have my friends, and I wouldn't change a thing, nope, nope. (Life is good.)
