Summary: Casey and Derek lose Marti in a Wal-Mart. Dasey. Oneshot.

Author's Note: So ...I watched an episode of Life With Derek yesterday, and totally had to write a fanfic, a one-shot; it's short, but hopefully sweet as well; please enjoy!

"You lost her." I interject.

"Me? You were the one too busy daydreaming about Sam to notice that she left." Derek replies, leaning against the wall.

"Please." I reply sarcastically, "Me and Sam broke up months ago, and you were checking out the salesclerk."

He smiles, "She was hot, and I got her number." He says, holding up a folded piece of paper.

I roll my eyes, "Whatever. Let's just find Marti ...she couldn'tve gone too far." I say, "...What interests her?" I think outloud.

"Barbies!" Derek and I exclaim in unison.

He starts left, while I start right.

"The toy section is this way." I state firmly, crossing my arms.

"No, it's this way." He says.

"Fine, we'll go your way, you'll be wrong, then we can go my way."

"Whatever." And we start off left, in the direction he believes is the toy section.

"Don't you hate it when I'm right?" Derek says retorically, as we turn the corner to see a display of Hot Wheels race tracks.

"I don't care, 'cause it doesn't happen often." I reply.

"Ouch, Case." Derek replies in mock-pain, "You always know how to hurt me."

I hit his arm, "You're such a freak.

"A popular, and extremely hot freak." He corrects.

I roll my eyes, "An extremely dilusional freak."

"Whatever you say, Klutzilla."

"Could you stop? It's not even funny anymore."

"Gosh, sorry." He apoligizes, and we continue walking by the aisles, peering in each one to see if Marti is there.

Breif silence.

"Why do you care so much if I call you that anyways?" He asks, more seriously.

"I don't ...I don't care, I-I just..." Why am I stuttering and talking like a moron?

"I-I-I D-don't..." He mocks.

I go into hit his arm again, and he leans in to kiss me.

And it's a sweet kiss, one that I'll never forget.

"SMEREK!!!" Marti screams happily, which scares me and causes me to pull away.

"Smarti." Derek replies, "What were you doing?"

"Watching Cinderella 3 in the elatronics place." She mis-pronounces, "What were you doing?" She attempts at a 'suggestive eyebrow' movement, looking from Derek to me, and back.

"Uh..." He starts, "Just checking ...if Casey had a temperature."

"With your lips?" Marti asks confused.

"Hey Marti, when we get home do you wanna see if Dimi wants to go to the park?" I ask, changing the subject.

"No..." She answers, boredly, "He's mad at me because I took his toys, remember?"

"He's probably over it by now." I advise her.

"Okay..."

"C'mon, kiddo, we should get home." Derek tells Marti, crouching down to give her a piggy-back ride.

She gets on, and smiles as we exit the store, "I love you, Smerek. You too, Casey."

"I love you, too, Smarti." We both tell her roughly in unison.

I've never experienced so much adventure at a Wal-Mart in my life - but I guess there's a first time for everything.

A/N: Maybe it was so-so, but please review, if you can. I love hearing what I did well, and what I can improve on. Comment Away, Read&Review.
