For What You've Done

This is just a little poem that I felt compelled to write/post. R&R if you like.

A/N: Consider this not only a tribute to our four favorite ninja heroes, but also to the heroes in our demension; the ones that risked their lives on this day ten years ago and the ones that have risked their lives since then and will continue to in the future. I know there is a lot of people that hate this war, I don't like it either, but please don't take out that hatred on the soldier that is fighting for what he/she believes in; a person is always doing the right thing by standing up for their beliefs no matter what they may be.

For What You've Done

I stand up

to you,

the person who fights

and defends

total strangers

no matter what

they look like

or where they came from.

I thank you

for the countless times

you have risked your life

and the endless

battles

you have fought

without being asked.

You continue on

without fear

or concern

for your own safety

and for all that

I stand up,

as you serve and protect

I stand up.
