Green Sunlight
Like an arrow through his heart. Or eyes. Sora thought, because Riku's eyes were so damn piercing. When they faced each other off at Hollow Bastion, and their eyes met, his skin was screaming and crawling.
You're my best friend!
And he didn't want to fight, he honestly didn't. But if this is what he had to do for amethyst-eyed Kairi, then so be it. He wasn't trying to win her heart, because he already had it. Preferably, Sora like the sea-green. Not sea green, it was emerald, bathing in sunlight.
As Sora was swinging the key blade down on his best friend, Riku, downdowndown.
Somebody give me a mirror and some light in this dark, dark place.
I've got green sunlight in my eyes.
And to be honest, no, Sora wanted to look away the final hit, but he didn't. Riku's eyes kept him rooted, kept his heart rooted down where the blade was. Second thoughts of just going, "Damn it, Riku. Take off that fairy skirt, that's not who you are. You'd never wear that.
You wouldn't do this."
Last hit, last hit, he fought, he wanted it to end. This might be the last dance, and he hated that. Riku kept evading, shooting bolts of dark down at him from heaven.
Final hit.
Final hit.
Then he noticed it: Riku's eyes never changed, still staying the swimminggreensunlight. They belonged somewhere else.
Relief rushing--and then the light through and through, coming from Riku. Sad smile as he closes the door.
Iloveyousoverymuch.
Push back. Wait, Riku! All Sora could see was his green sunlight.
End
A/N: This is for all the fawking people who played KH and know my pain of having to fight Riku near the end of the game, and how painful that was. Just so you know-- I was shouting 'RIKU, YOU'RE MY BESTFRIEND, WHY!?' through the game. Riku apparently didn't hear me, neither did he hear Sora. Stupid fairy skirt.
