Over the past two months after taking Chief officially (the Rev's man hadn't stood a chance), Nathan realized one thing, well two things really.
This office was far too large and empty for his tastes, and he spent half his time in Audrey's office and the rest was spent in his with her. 'Makes having two offices pointless' he reasoned with himself. The blue-eyed Chief refused to acknowledge the voice in the back of his mind saying he just wanted to share an office with her again.
Just as he stood to go tell her his idea, the blonde in question walked in, looking as though she had a question or favor. 'I'm really going to kill Duke if he got her to ask me for something again.' Nathan humorlessly thought.
"I was thinking, since we're usually in each other's office or out in the field, wouldn't it make more sense to just share an office again?" she asked in a rush, as though afraid he'd say no.
"That's scary, even for Haven. I was getting ready to come ask you the same thing." he replied with that slight tilt of the mouth, telling her he found it amusing.
"Good, I'm going to go get stuff ready so - -" The rest of her sentence was interrupted by the familiar trill of beeps from Nathan's belt.
"You might want to head down to the Harbor love. Sounds like someone got Mr. Lee going again." Lavern's voice followed.
"We're on our way Lavern." he replied, grumbling about nosy people and fickle tempers. "C'mon." as he walked out the door, ignoring Audrey's eyeroll and chuckle.
"And you told me being a small town cop wasn't all weirdness and adventure." she idly commented as she followed him.
