Chapter One-How Could You?
For months now, Shikamaru and Ino have had this game of whoever can get the last laugh. They've been playing pranks on each other just for fun, but they were still friends and they still hung out, along with their other friends (Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Neji, Hinata and Tenten). As they were spending their days in highschool as ordinary 16 year olds, it was Shikamaru's turn o get the last laugh. He's already planned something.
As Ino walked in the school building, every student was looking at her like she destroyed their houses or something. Then she walked towards her best friends by their lockers.
"Hey guys!" she said, ignoring the people staring at her.
"I can't believe you, Ino," Sakura said, shaking her head.
"How could you say that about us?!" Tenten yelled, giving Ino a certain 'I hate you' glare.
"What are you guys talking about?" Ino said, confused,
"S-sorry Ino, b-but that w-was m-mean," Hinata stuttered, playing with her fingers.
"Huh? What did I say?" she asked again.
"Wow, Ino. I'd never expect you to do such a thing," said a student walking by.
"Ok, what are you guys talking about?!" Ino snapped.
"Look over there!" Tenten yelled, pointing at the bulletin board across the hall.
Ino walked over to it and saw a purple piece of paper that looked like a diary entry signed by her. She read it and it had the most hurtful and meanest things about almost everybody in the school, especially her 3 best friends. She couldn't believe it. "What is this?" she said to herself. She walked back to her "friends" but they've already walked away. She just stood there, not knowing what to do. Then, Shikamaru walked up to her and whispered in her ear.
"Who's laughing now?" he said with a smirk.
Ino's eyes widened. She never thought that Shikamaru would go this far. He walked up to the guys and looked at Ino. She looked back at him with teary eyes and gently shook her head. The tears fell down her face as she walked to class. Now, everybody hated her.
At the end of the day, she went to her car as fast as she could. She wanted to get home. She wanted to get out of this place. Se drove to her house and ran to her room. She spent hours crying in her room. It was the worst day of her life.
Later that night, Shikamaru called her. She didn't answer. He called again, no answer. He's been calling but never got an answer. The next day, Shikamaru didn't see Ino at school. For the next 4 days, she wasn't at school and was never answering calls. Shikamaru got worried, so he decided to go over to her house to check.
"Hey Mr. Yamanaka, is Ino here?" he asked.
"Oh sorry Shkamaru, she just went out to buy a couple of packing boxes," her dad said.
"Oh, oka--packing boxes?" he said.
"Yeah, we're moving because of some problem she had at school. She wouldn't tell me, though," Inoichi said.
"Oh…sorry. Can you just tell her that I dropped by?"
"Sure."
Sorry...I know this chapter is VERY short...I suck at beginnnings so...yeah.
I might update later cuz i have a lot more fanfics to put on
