As Cinderella lay weeping outside, she vaguely heard the light footsteps of someone behind her.

"Are you okay miss?" A man's comforting voice asked from behind her.

"Oh, please go away!" Cinderella weeped.

"But why are you crying, how can I help you?" The man asked.

Cinderella looked up and gasped as she saw a handsome man look at her with warm eyes.

"I just wanted to go to the ball." She whispered quietly, grabbing her handkerchief from pocket and dabbing her eyes.

"Well, who wants to go to a stuffy ole ball anyways. Just a bunch of woman vying for men's attention. Let me take you to a wonderful dinery." The man said smiling at her, offering her his gloved hand.

Her blue eyes looked at him cautiously, but she took his hand and stood up.

"Just let me go inside to change!" She said happily and he chuckled.

Cinderella ran into her attic room and glanced despairingly at the coldness and extreme bareness of it.

"Are you looking for something to wear dearie?" An older woman's voice asked from behind her.

Cinderella jumped in fright and spun around quickly.

"Who are you?!" She asked taking a step back.

"Well your fairy godmother of course! I was here to help you, but fate has intervened. But I couldn't help but over hear you needed a dress!" She said smiling, grabbing her wand from her sleeve.

"Bibbity, bobbity, boo!" The fairy godmother said waving her wand in a circle.

Cinderella gasped as her rags were turned into a beautiful baby blue dress. It was simple, elegant, and not as gaudy as other poofy dresses woman wore nowadays. Perfect for a dinner out in the city.

"Oh thank you ever so much!" Cinderella cried hugging her fairy godmother.

"Now off you go my dear! Your prince awaits!" She said dissappering in a wave of glitter.

"Prince?" Cinderella asked questionly to herself.

Shaking her head she had an epiphany. It was time for her to leave and live a better life. Sighing she realized she had no suitcases. Then out of thin air a gorgeous silver suitcase appeared and Cinderella jumped in joy. She grabbed her small bag of toiletries, her single dress, shoes, a photo album, a book, and her one necklace. Zipping it up Cinderella ran downstairs, to find the mysterious man petting Bruno.

"Take me away!" Cinderella announced as she stood in front of him.

"Away, where?" He asked in surprise.

"To a far away place." She said grabbing his hand.
