Will You Never Forgive Me?
Jack will never forgive Elizabeth. But for what?

It was hard enough for Elizabeth Swann to navigate her own way around Shipwreck Cove. Never mind it being a fortress, this place is a maze, she thought. What didn't help Elizabeth was Jack Sparrow jabbering in her ear. He was not helping them find their way back to the Black Pearl. Mister Gibbs was of some use, but neither of them could quite remember the way to the ship.
Elizabeth was contemplating asking someone for directions. Damn what Jack said about it making him seem incompetent. She didn't get the chance, because what Jack said next caused Elizabeth to stop walking. Thinking that she had misheard him, she turned to face the captain of the Black Pearl.
Jack was standing, arms folded and eyes unblinking as if challenging her to disagree with what he's just said to her. He smiled when he saw her perplexed expression. "You heard me right, luv."
Sensing an argument coming, Gibbs had slunk backwards, out of harm's way. A verbal argument could easily escalate, even with the most mild mannered of people.
The newly elected Pirate King voiced the first thought that came to mind. "Oh, will you never forgive me?"
Jack pretended to think about his answer for a moment. "Hmm… No."
"I don't see why you won't. We're alive, aren't we?
"But you didn't stop to think how I felt, darlin'."
Elizabeth stared at him, confused. She really couldn't understand why he was so worked up about it. "I don't see how that matters. It was just rum."
"Just rum? Just rum, she says!"
"Well, it was."
"It wasn't just rum, luv." He threw his arms up into the air, as if to emphasise his next point. "It was a whole bloody island of rum!"
Jack sighed, realising that he had voted for a Pirate King that didn't care about rum. What kind of a pirate was that? Not a very good one, he thought as he looked over his shoulder at his first mate. "We'd best be gettin' back to the Pearl, Mister Gibbs."
"Aye, sir."
The two pirates continued walking slowly, leaving Elizabeth stand by herself. Although she could still hear Jack's voice. "Now where had I gotten to? Ah, yes. Best break out the rum in honour of the new Pirate King." He repeated what he had said earlier, just to annoy Elizabeth. "But best not let her have any. She might just burn it."
Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "Pirates." She muttered before rushing after them.

A/N: I found this lurking on my hard drive and thought that I should post it. One of the featurettes that came out before AWE had Elizabeth asking if Jack would ever forgive her. I'm pretty sure it wasn't in the final cut of AWE. So this is my take on what they were talking about. Review and tell me what you think.
