Warning: Slightly depressing :O
You look down below you at the lifeless bodies.
You feel a single tear roll down your cheek.
You look around, and see everyone else silently mourning the fallen;
They're dead.
They were the closest thing to your family left,
They can't be gone.
Life isn't that cruel, is it?
You watch the heavy boxes slowly lower down underground;
You can hardly bear it any longer.
You quickly turn your head and run – run as far as you can.
You slowly realize that you can not run anymore – there is nowhere to hide.
You sit under a tree and bury your head in your knees.
As the rain is pounding on your back you silently sob,
Hoping that you can be with them again.
It seems as if all of eternity has past,
Until you finally feel a small weight on your shoulder and look up;
The three of them are there with weak smiles on their faces,
You know what they're trying to do – it won't work.
The bushy-haired brunette slowly sits down next to you in the pouring rain,
Your best friend comfortingly pats you on the back,
While the young redhead embraces you in a warm hug.
You slowly realize that it isn't so bad,
And all the family you need is right here, right now.
You smile and carefully stand up,
And the trio looks at you with cautious eyes.
You engulf them all in a giant hug,
Feeling grateful that they will always be there for you.
They were there for you from the start,
And they always will be forever, no matter what.
They are your friends - they are Ron, Hermione, and Ginny,
And they are the best thing that ever happened to you.
You will never forget those who passed,
But you know that they would want you to move on,
And be happy with the family you have.

This poem is in memory of those who have sacrificed their lives not only at the
Battle of Hogwarts, but the whole struggle that has lasted for years to defeat
Lord Voldemort once and for all.
Thanks for reading. ;) Sorry if it's crappy, I just wanted some feedback on probably the only poem I'll ever write in my lifetime. xD
Peace. Love. Review.
