Elijah was holding her in his arms as she sobbed. He clenched his teeth as he felt her sobs corseting through her body. He hated the pain she was in. He just continued to hold her as she cried. "I have to get away" She mumbles in his chest. "Then get away" Elijah said softly. He had loved holding her and was sad when she pulled away to look at him. "You really think I could?" Elijah nodded "You could go anywhere. I could help you." Elena wiped some of her tears away "You could go with me." Elena said. Elijah liked the thought of taking her away from all the pain. He nodded "I'd like that."
A week later Elena had said her goodbyes and was ready to leave. Elijah had taken care of everything else. They had moved to one of the houses he had done by the beaches in Florida. She preferred the heat and he enjoyed the beaches. He had a huge house directly by the beach that was mostly made of glass. He liked to be able to see the beach. Elena loved it. She had her own bedroom and was settling in perfectly. Elijah wasn't sure what she had meant by coming with her, but she seemed to want him there. One afternoon after Elena came in from the beach Elijah told her he had to leave for a bit. "My sister called and she has had a terrible break up.
She wanted me to come be with her for a bit" Elena was glum at the thought he wouldn't be with her for a while, but she agreed he should go. "I'll be back before you realize I'm gone" "I doubt it." Elena replied. She hadn't meant to let that tumble from her lips. Elijah cocked his head as he examined Elena. He made a decision right then to kiss her. Their lips formed together perfectly, not having to take any time to find the best pattern. He pulled away and smiled "I'll be back as soon as I can." Elena was glowing, she had wanted to kiss Elijah long before they had 'run away' from mystic falls. "You always kiss and run?" She asked teasingly. Elijah smirked at the question "Well it's better than doing what I wish I could do right now and then leaving." He winked at her and was gone.
