THE TIME MACHINE : A Trip to 2025

Giddy with anticipation

I jump right into the time machine

Going ahead, losing precious time

To know what life is going to be.

And then I reach a certain year

They say it's 2025,

Life is fast and really busy

But people are lovely and nice.

Then i meet a smiling, serene lady

And I know she is my mother, alright

We spend hours together, talking and laughing

My heart fills with love and gratitude, just at her sight.

Next to her, he sits and thinks

Though looking solely contended

I know my father will never change

But I'll love him all the same.

My conscience then reminds me

That I will have to go

I know I've seen enough

Of the future I will soon meet in a few years.

My present beckons me

Says it's better not to see the future

That life won't be thrilling

If i know what next is going to come.

So I sit back in the time machine

Hoping to go back in time

And wait for all these moments

That, I know, will leave me satisfied.
