Jack Bauer heard the footsteps outside of his room in the middle of the night. He carefully slid out of bed and picked up his trusty 9mm from his nightstand. Jack crept along the wooden floorboards carefully as not to awaken his wife Teri.
The intruder was almost directly opposite his closed doorway. Jack pressed his ear to the door in hopes of hearing the exact location of the stranger. As the footsteps grew louder, Jack flung the door open.
The large wooden door smashed into the intruder dead on. The man was obviously stunned and he fell backwards from the blow of the door. The stranger hit the wall on the other side of the hallway and bounced back toward Jack.
Jack responded by punching the man in the jaw with a fierce right hook. The intruder crumpled at the force of the blow and fell to the floor. Jack snapped up his gun and pointed it at the man's chest.
"Who are you and what do you want?" Jack yelled.
"Jesus," the man replied. "You scared the hell out of me."
Jack backhanded the man in the bridge of his nose with his pistol. The man reeled back to the ground as blood spurted out of his nose.
"Okay, okay!" the man yelped. "I'm Jason Tyner, Kim's boyfriend."
Jack pulled the boy up into the light and realized that he was telling the truth. The kid was about 17 and had jet black, spiky hair that was dyed pink on the ends. He was also completely covered head to toe in black. He even had his fingernails painted black. This was definitely not the kind of person Jack wanted hanging around his daughter, Kim, especially after the fact that he had broken into their house.
"Jack," Teri said from the bedroom after waking up because of all of the commotion. "What's going on?"
"It's nothing honey," Jack replied, hoping not to worry her.
Jack then lifted Jason up by the back of his collar and led him toward the front door. The door didn't look like it was broken into, but the kid had still been trespassing in their house. Jack wasn't taking any chances.
"I should call the cops," Jack snarled. "But I'm going to let you go with a warning. If you ever come within 50 feet of my daughter ever again, I will shoot you on sight. Do you understand me?"
Jason stared off into space over Jack's shoulder as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"I said, do you understand me?!?!" Jack screamed while shoving the kid against the wall.
"Yes, yes I do," Jason whimpered.
Jack opened the door and threw the kid off into the night.
Jack Bauer shoved his pistol into his pocket and headed back to bed.
