A comfortable breeze floated over her, gently ruffling her curls and the hem of her dress. The sun was warm on her face, and the stone beneath her hands was smooth. A smile spread over her face, and a melodic hum escaped her lips.

"Millicent," a low, kind voice called from behind her.

She turned around, finding herself facing a tall, smiling man.

"Egg," she replied, her smile widening as the man moved forward and ghosted his lips over her cheek. She slowly angled her head until they were nose-to-nose, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. She took a breath, preparing to kiss him again, but was interrupted by something tugging at her skirts. She looked down to a pair of big eyes half-hidden by long brown curls. The little girl held her arms up to Millicent impatiently. Millicent reacted instinctively, gathering the girl up into her arms. She gazed down at the child fondly before realizing why her hair color looked so familiar. She looked back up at Egg, who had his eyes fixed upon her. "Her hair is the exact shade of yours," she murmured.

Egg laughed softly. "You've been telling me that since she was born! I'm still convinced it's lighter than mine."

Millicent laughed, too, stroking the girl's hair. A surge of happiness filled her chest, and her smile grew.

Egg wrapped an arm around her waist and turned her away from him, out towards a glistening sapphire sea. She leaned back against his chest, sighing as he pulled her closer. The little one in her arms snuggled closer, too, and the family watched the waves lap against the shore.

"Millicent..." She shifted upon hearing Egg's quiet voice.

"Millicent..." The voice grew louder, and Egg shook her shoulder.

"Millicent...!" The voice was getting higher in pitch, and the shaking intensified.

"Millicent!" Millicent snapped into a sitting position, her eyes blurry from sleep. Her mother stood before her. "You should have woken an hour ago! Go, get dressed! Today we have to travel into town and..." Millicent tuned her mother's irritable words out, rubbing her eyes. She nodded, pretending to understand, and began to get out of bed. She moved over to her window, pushing aside the sash. As her mother stomped out of the room, Millicent looked out, beyond Sunrise.

Somewhere, someday, what she had dreamed would come true. It may not be on Sunrise, and may not be anytime soon, but it would happen. She was sure of it.

A smile lighting her face, she turned from the window and began to dress.

Somewhere, someday.
