Last Time

When the light faded they had found themselves in the middle of a battlefield.

"This is just great. Those two need better landing sights" stated an exasperated Kagome, while dodging left and right. "Maybe they think you can handle whatever comes your way koi" as he too dodged. "We need to get out of the way" The two then leapt at incredible speed out of the way into the nearest tree.

Chapter 1

"Where are we?" asked Madara looking to Kagome. "I have no idea. I just tend to go with it" "You two in the tree you are either for us or against us" stated an unknown man wearing what seemed to be a soldiers uniform. "You must come with us to see our generals" stated another.

"We may as well go with them" stated Kagome as she jumped down "We might find out where we are" and they were led back toward the battlefield. They were on their way to the general's tent when enemy soldiers came out of nowhere. "Prepare for battle" stated a soldier as he and the others went to deal with the enemy soldiers. "We should stay out of the battle. We don't know who and why they are fighting" stated Kagome and Madara agreed. At least it sounded great in theory until Kagome spotted a boy who could be no older than seven in the pathway of a horse. "Oh, no" stated Kagome as she used ninja speed to reach the boy and pull him to safety. "There you are girl. Follow us" stated the soldier from before. "Absolutely no manners" huffed Kagome as she held onto the boy and headed toward the tent.

"What do we have here and why do you have my son" stated one of the general's. "Daddy you should have seen. She came out of nowhere and pulled me away from a charging horse" no sooner had the boy said that he instantly wished he could retract them. "YOU LEFT THE TRAINING CAMP. YOU COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED" yelled the general. "Yelling isn't going to change the situation" stated Kagome calmly. Madara shook his head; she is going to be the death of me yet. She is wonderful but just doesn't know when to stop. "Oh, yes. I suppose you want my thanks and some type of reward for saving my son" stated the general. "Not really. I would just like to know who you are and where we are" stated Kagome. "How do you not know where you are?" stated another general. "Well you see, we kind of just happened on the place" stated Kagome, not exactly sure how much information to actually give out. "I see. I am Julian of Macedon and he is Kyrian of Thrace. We are at war with the Romans" At this Kagome eyes widened, we're in Ancient Greece.

"I am Kagome and this is Madara" stated Kagome. "As my soldiers stated before you are either against us or with us. Although, seeing how as you are a woman, you may not be of any use" stated Kyrian. "I will have you know me being a woman isn't going to be a problem" stated Kagome with ire. At that moment a soldier came running in, "My lords, it is of the utmost priority that you come to the battlefield and see what we are seeing" and with that he ran out.

"Let's go see shall we" stated Julian. They all headed outside Kagome and Madara included and there they could see soldiers that should be dead fighting the living. "What in the name of the gods?" murmured Kyrian "This is not Hades doing" stated Julian. "No it isn't it is Yura's doing" stated Kagome while eyeing the hair trails. "Are you friends with this Yura?" asked Julian. "Absolutely not she had tried to kill me on more than one occasion and was defeated. Why she is alive now is beyond me" stated Kagome while continuously severing the hair that was controlling the dead. "She is a demon and she is about to be purified again" stated Kagome as she spotted Yura.

Yura looked up, "Oh no, no this will not do. You shouldn't be here" she said while pouting. "It is you who shouldn't be here Yura. How and why are you here? You know what I really don't care" stated Kagome as she readied her bow. "Sacred Arrow" and with that Yura was purified and the dead were now as they should be, dead. "How did she that? What is she?" were only a few of the questions that she heard while heading back to Kyrian and Julian. "How did you do that" Kyrian questioned once they reached the tent. "I am a priestess. I purify demons that cross the line" Kagome replied "As a matter of fact, we are hunting a specific demon that is causing all sorts of problems" she continued. At that Kyrian and Julian figured they must have been sent by some deity, "We shall lend you horses as a thank you for riding us of that demon" Julian stated. They then proceeded to give them directions to Athens. Kagome thanked both of them and said, "See you around. Maybe" and with that Madara and Kagome were off.

"I don't like riding horses" Madara grumbled. "It just takes getting used to, besides they were a gift and I already made them immortal" stated Kagome as she continued trotting. They were just outside the gates of Athens when they came across a temple. "I should contact my family to let them know where I am adventuring know" Kagome stated while leading the horses to the temple. "Temple of Athena" stated Kagome. "Who's Athena?" asked Madara while following her inside. "I will tell you once I contact my family" and with that she went to tell her family that they were in Ancient Greece. Her family and friends bid her well, with a reminder to check in every now and then. She then turned to Madara ready to give him a rundown on Greek Gods and other impertinent information. Unknown to them they had an audience, that consisted of the gods and four other individuals that would be important.

"I suppose I shall give you a rundown of some iconic figures that you will need to remember. The Greeks have their own set of deities different from our Japanese ones. Save your questions for the end. There is Zeus ruler of the gods, Hera is his wife, although I think they have some marital issues, Ares he is the god of war, Athena Goddess of Wisdom (this happens to be her temple), Apollo God of Music, Artemis Goddess of Chastity (she favors the Amazons), Aphrodite Goddess of Love, Hephaestus God of Fire and the Forge, Hermes is Zeus' messenger, Hestia Goddess of the Hearth, Hades Lord of the Underworld, Poseidon God of the Seas, Demeter is the Goddess of Harvest and then of course there are minor Gods and Goddesses. You should also probably remember are the Fates, Furies and Muses. Muses inspire creativity and the Furies are in charge of punishment and retribution. They are used by the Gods and Goddesses to punish the mortals that they deem need punishing. Another thing is there are going to be certain creatures like satyrs and centaurs, but I can just point them out as I go along. Now there are prominent figures, I guess you could classify them as "for the people" you know heroes. Amongst the heroes are Hercules and his friend Iolaus and Xena and Gabrielle. Any questions?" Kagome had taken a breath and finished her brief history lesson. Meanwhile, Madara had been trying to remember all of this information. "How do you all of this?" Madara asked while mulling the facts over. The unknown guests wanted to know this too because for foreigners she certainly knew a lot. "Well you see when Amaretsu made me the Goddess of Time she gave me this whole history lesson on stuff I should know. Then she said that I wouldn't complete my training until the time was right. I am guessing that would be once I hunt down the idiot" stated Kagome as she started getting that funny feeling. "I see" Madara stated. "We should get going" he continued. At that time all the unknown persons showed themselves. "You are a visiting Goddess" stated a voice. Kagome and Madara spun around. "Who are they?" Madara asked. "They would be all those that I just spoke about" Madara nodded in understanding.

"So why are you here" Athena asked. At that moment two bright lights appeared. "Yeah, I was almost beginning to think that I was going to have to tell my story" stated Kagome with a smile on her face. "Nonsense, it is the least we can do after giving you an interesting destiny" stated Midiriko. "Midiriko and Amaretsu, so she is yours" stated Hera. "Aye, although, she is no longer a serving priestess under me, she is my equal" stated Amaretsu. With that Midiriko and Amaretsu showed them why she is here. While, that was going on Kagome and Madara wandered, not wanting to see her story up to this point once again. "Hey here is the scroll that has you Naruto adventures" stated a voice. Kagome looked up and saw Pein. "Pein what are you up to" asked Kagome. Ama-chan and Midi-san had long finished her story and everyone was watching her. Pein and Kagome chatted for a bit after handing her the scroll and then he disappeared. Kagome put it with the other scroll she received in Shin Mazoku. I really need to get these scrolls to Tou-san for safekeeping.

"That is one of her companions from before" stated Gabrielle. "I wonder if she will tell me of her adventures" "You need only to ask her" Midiriko stated. As soon as Kagome turned around she was assaulted by a very enthusiastic Gabrielle. Kagome answered the best she could until Gabrielle reached her final question, "Why don't you live in the heavenly realm?" Kagome couldn't help but smile and looked at Madara, "I am not a traditional goddess" she replied.

"So Ama-chan, Midi-san why can't you ever drop me off in a reasonable location, I mean come on first it was a bathtub, then a desert, and finally in the middle of a battlefield. Not exactly where I would have dropped me off" Kagome rambled.

"It was necessary that you meet those two generals and that is all we can say" stated Midiriko while avoiding her gaze. "Keep your secrets. You could have dropped us off in the tent. No never mind. That would have been awkward," she amended. "We know who she is now, but who is her companion" asked Xena. It was then that Psyche answered "They are true soul mates" Kagome's eyes widened, "That is Psyche and her husband is Eros. He doesn't like to be called Cupid. Commit that to memory" she told Madara. He was beginning to get a headache. "I need to go to bed" "Then let's go into the city and we will start a search in the morning" and with that they were off. "She really doesn't care that you have put a huge destiny on her" stated Ares. "Of course I don't. Rather me then somebody else" stated Kagome as she had reappeared. "Ama-chan can you get these to Tou-san," and with that Kagome left. "She really is amusing" Amaretsu said as she and Midiriko disappeared.

"Why don't we follow them" said Iolaus. "We're all for saving the world" "Yes let's follow her" stated Gabrielle as both of them sped off after Madara and Kagome. Xena and Hercules both shook their heads, "Let's go before they get into trouble" And thus a new adventure begins.
