A/N: Hi. English isn't my first language.I feel like I can't point that out enough, hahahaha. Anyways, this is a story with an OC of mine, haven't decided yet about the romance part but we'll see I guess. Just wanted to write a story with Fred and George. Please tell me if there's anything you don't understand. Read and enjoy, lolz.

Patience.

If you look up the word in the dictionary, it clearly states that it means: 'The capacity, quality, or fact of being patient." It also states that the synonyms for the word are: 'long-suffering, resignation and forbearance'.

Long-suffering. Oh dear lord.

If it was one thing that Minerva McGonagall was proud of, it was that she was considered a patient teacher. It was very rare for her to ever give up on a student, she believed that everyone had at least one good quality. After so many years at Hogwarts she had never felt defeated or even the slightest discouraged, and she was very proud of this fact. That was until she met two very unusual students…

"Fred and George Weasley, for the last time could you please PAY ATTENTION!"

The twins, who were both engulfed in what looked like a fight between two paper-made soldiers, quickly smashed the two under their hands, small sparks flying out from underneath. Mischievous smiles were slowly spreading on their faces as they looked cautiously at each other.
'Do they seriously not care about school?' Minerva thought to herself. 'Could they not for even one second concentrate?' It was difficult to admit but Minerva could no longer deny it: she felt defeated. She was so tired of the twins constantly fooling around, never taking things seriously and oh, the list was so long. They were already 16 years old; it was time to grow up!'

"Fred, George, I don't want to have to do this but you are bothering the other students with your toys." Minerva said and massaged her temples. She was getting a headache, and a bad one for that matter.

"Go out for a walk, and don't come back until you've calmed down."

Fred and George Wesley silently got up from their seats, collected their books and made their way out of the classroom. After they closed the door the entire class broke out in a loud debate about what had just happened. Minerva gave out a loud sigh and continued the lesson. She felt defeated for now but her spirit would come back. Eventually. Right?

"Have a look at that George! A hiker!"

Fred was pointing at a silhouette far away in the distant. They were by the Black Lake, going for a walk, just as professor McGonagall had ordered them too. It was hot outside, summer still lingered in the air even though it was already October, and for a change the Black Lake didn't actually look as scary as it used to (even though it was still as black as always). Whenever the weather was this wonderful, the brothers hated being inside to study. It wasn't very often it was this warm and sunny so whenever it was, they usually skipped class.

George, who was sitting by the lake and trying to get chocolate frogs to jump into it, stood up and looked at where Fred was pointing, and indeed, there was a silhouette of someone in the distance.

"Well then, let's go greet this hiker!" he said, getting pretty excited.
"It is rare to see someone this close to the castle, isn't it?" Fred said after a while.

George nodded and squinted with his eyes towards Hogwarts. He knew there were a bunch of protective spells around the castle, and for a person to be this close without setting off any of the alarms was pretty… impressive.

"It might just be a student, or perhaps Hagrid." George said.
"No, it looks too small to be Hagrid." Fred said.
"It actually… looks like a girl."

Suddenly, the silhouette started waving towards them, jumping up and down and making huge arm gestures. Fred and George looked at each other, both of them very surprised indeed, and started to wave to this unknown shadow. When they got close enough they noticed that the person indeed was a girl – and a very cute girl! She had short, blonde hair and big black glasses that framed her pretty blue eyes. Her face was round and she had a thin nose and pouty, pink lips. All in all she looked very girly, and a little nerdy. Her brown shorts sat high on her waist and her t-shirt was tucked inside. Her backpack was huge and looked heavy, with pots and cups hanging on the sides. Her big boots were carelessly tied and looked to be about two sizes too big.

"Hi there, fellow hikers!" she yelled out with a very high pitched voice.
"Hi there, you." George said with a big smile on his face.

They stopped one meter from each other, the girl shining so bright with positive energy that Fred and George felt the need to cover their eyes.

"Have you guys seen an old geezer walking around these neighborhoods?" she asked while rocking back on her heels.
"No, we haven't." Fred said.
"And we know these neighborhoods. We practically live here!" George said.
"Oh, are you the ones living in that beautiful castle over there?" the girl exclaimed, pointing very much towards Hogwarts…
