After reading this .com/gallery/?set=25316901&offset=48/d2i79fw, I had the urge to write a revert where McCoy has to comfort Spock. Then I saw ./assets/Images/6317_ and sitting spock reminded me of Piccard and Dr. X (yes at the same time) and wheelchair!Spock was born!… er created but what ever.

He would have much rather kept him in sick bay, but he knew Spock never would have gone for it. Given what had happened to the landing party bio-beds were in great demand; it was only logical that Spock be moved to his quarters. Logic did not, though indicate why McCoy had volunteered to escort him personally when his services were so urgently needed elsewhere.

Bones lifted Spock from the accursed chair, putting one arm under his knees and the gingerly other behind his shoulders. Lifting him was no longer the struggle it had been merely a week ago. He was also painfully aware of the fact that he hadn't gotten any stronger. He laid him down on the bed, pain evident in his eyes.

This is all my fault, he thought, tearing his eyes from Spock's weakened form. Spock did not want to be coddled, he was sure of it. That was why Spock's next action startled him so.

"Bones," He begged, even using the nickname, lightly grabbed the sleeve of his CMO's regulation medical shirt. "Don't go, don't leave me." McCoy was forced to look up. Look back into those dark pleading eyes. Those dark eyes consumed by an underlying agony. An agony he himself had inflicted. He walked a pace then sat on the bed besides Spock, still dumbfounded by Spock's need of his presence. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but only tilted his head in observance of the Vulcan.

Spock latched his arms around Bones' neck and pulled himself up to a sitting position so that their heads were at the same level. McCoy knew from past experience better than to try and aid him. With the other man so close, he could easily feel the tension in his body.

Spock leaned over and planted a soft kiss upon unsuspecting lips. McCoy returned the gesture, but looked thoroughly confused upon pulling away. Why was it that Spock still wanted to be with him?

"It's not your fault you know." Spock whispered, a staring determinedly into his eyes. With sudden force Spock's head crashed against his chest as he gasped a violent inhale.

Bones pulled the trembling body, devoid of some of it's usual heat, closer to his; a tear cutting down his cheek. Oh, but it was.

P.S. feel free to guess what Bones did ^^
