Before the Hunger Games, there was war, and the dark days. After the capitol defeated the districts, it moved on to give them 'Hunger Games'. But they did not know how to run a game show of this type, so things tended to run downwards, this is the tale of the first few games, the un-telivised ones... Rated T because its the hunger games.

1. Introduction

President Venius Cenéra of the new capitol, risen from the ashes of the dark days, is pondering how to best punish the districts, with her council of elders. The elders were not old, but Venius decided that council of elders had a nice ring to it.

"Bomb them" says one of the more crazy elders.

"But then we would not have enough people to work the fields and tend the crops, amongst other things needed by us." Said Venius

"Make them fight to the death" says one of the most sensible elders.

"Kill their children" Says one of the oldest elders.

"I like where were going with the Fighting to the death, and killing their children, maybe, we could take 12 children from the districts, and have them kill each other, in ancient dead cites." Says Venius, and most agree with him, but he is not done"We could call it, 'one comes out alive', or 'Death tolls', or 'Games of fury', I think that it should be called a game, just to give the districts that comical spark."

It was old Dyrsee Snow, grandfather of the not yet born President Snow, who came up with the final decision 'hunger games'. That name was not used for another few years, and until they used the favorite suggestion, but in the beginning years, it was called 'Games of Blood'
