Hey Everyone! Here's a drabble I've been meaning to put up for a few weeks now, It's nothing special, but hey, It's not un-special either. Anyway, enjoy!
Title: Loud
Summary: Uzumaki Naruto was loud. No one would deny it and most complained about it. But to Neji and Shika, without him, the village was quiet and had lost his spark. Shika/Neji Friendship
Uzumaki Naruto was loud. There was no denying it. Everything he possessed and did was loud. His clothes, hair and voice; the way he ate and the music he listened to. Everything.
Knowing this, you could understand why his friends were all complaining about how boring and quiet Konoha was without the blonde there.
Shikamaru and Neji had started meeting each other at the blondes favorite restaurant after he left the village in such a heavy silence. At least once a month, they would meet and talk over a bowl of ramen.
Their conversations would vary. Sometimes, they would talk about up coming missions, things that happened in the village, the blonde or they would simply sit in companionable silence.
"It's quiet," Neji stated randomly during one of their outings. Shikamaru nodded in silent agreement.
"It's troublesome," he muttered.
"We always used to try and escape from all the chaos around us, and now, we're sitting here complaining about how quiet it is. It's ironic."
"I used to think that the sky was my paradise. But I was wrong." Neji looked at the boy oddly. What was he getting at with that random comment? "I realized it last night, when I was listening to Kiba, TenTen and Ino carry on. " Neji then understood what he meant. "I used to love the peace, but now… I look forward to the noise." Shikamaru sighed. "It's troublesome," he repeated.
"Gah! Shikamaru! Neji!"
For a moment, the two shinobi thought that it was their hyperactive comrade. When Konohamaru ran up to them, waving his hands trying to get their attention, they knew that it was stupid to believe that he was back so soon.
"Have, Have you guys seen Ino?" he panted out. They both shook their heads. He sighed, before grinning and yelling See ya! over his shoulder as he ran off.
"He'll be his spitting image some day…" Shikamaru smirked, and turned back to his food.
"Konoha just got a lot more active."
