[Standing out from darkness is the snowy head
of Cecil Harvey. His green eyes are filled with
pain, and Rosa rushes to his aid. He is kneeling,
clasping a wound in his side. Zeromus, living
Hatred, roils like a stormcloud before him]

pressure fried the coldest head
bent to the side wishing he was dead
and i will still defend
i will still defende

[Cecil stands, pain lashing through his body.
He grits his teeth, and holds out a hand to halt
the beginng assault that Edge, Eblanian king, was
about to commence. Cecil shakes his head]

i give up on it all
i give up on the greed
i give up on the ones
who give up on me

[Cecil closes his eyes. In his mind, he sees those
he cares about, his friends and allies - the Twins,
the Elder of Mysidia, Edward... even Tellah. He is
restrengthened. He will not give up!]

held up by the poor somewhere
there're unaware but i know we are scared
if i was to give in
the fight would soon begin

[Golbez watches, silently, as his brother and his
party battled the Hatred he had once followed. Pain
filled his heart at the knowlegde that he was con-
trolled, and commited such horrible atrocities...]

[Cecil raises his sword with a fierce cry, and
with the strength of those who count on him a
glowinth warmth inside, strikes the killing
blow]

sometimes sunshines
sunshine
sometimes the sun shines

[Zeromus curses them, screams his hatred out...
and dissipates. The party collapses in exhaustion]

did you give up on it all

did you give up on the ones
who gave up on me

[As they are ready to leave, Cecil feels eyes on
him. He turns, searching the shadows. Nothing.
Rosa, who helps Edge support him, asks what is
wrong. He shakes his head wearily]

[Golbez watches his brother walk away, silent...]
