Chapter 4
Emilia POV
I was right, it was pointless, as soon as they walked into the room, are class president started trying to serenade to one of the night class Ruka I think her name was, then someone fainted because the teacher said that we'd have to push some tables together so we could all sit next to each over, god it was tedious. It was mostly the night class making the suggestions and the rest of the day class agreeing, me not included, I just doodled.
"Emilia sama, what do you think of white drapes with black table cloths?" asked Aido.
I looked up, all the night class were looking at me, apart from the people in my class they were too busy looking at the night class, the prefect watching us was sat a bit away from the table, he was looked about as happy being there as I was. He didn't seem to like the night class, he obviously wasn't overcome by their apparent beauty as the rest of the school was.
"Too plain" I said finally as Aido was about to look away probably thinking I wasn't going to answer. I shrugged. "Why not have a bit of colour in there, I get that your trying to show that the night class and day class are together, but in a way you're not, your just showing how different we are. I looked at the colour chart one of the night class had brought that was lying open on the table, I pointed at a colour, why not have red flowers and napkins with satin grey, curtains and table cloths." I said plainly. There was a pause around the table; even the day class had stopped admiring the night class. The dorm president from the night class nodded and was about to say something but one of the day class spoke up.
"Who do you think you are disagreeing with the night class, anyway why would we want grey!"
I just looked at her coldly not bothering answering, bored, I thought and looked away, back to by doodle. The night dorm president cleared his throat and smiled.
"Actually grey isn't a bad idea, it mixes the two class colours together."
"And it will look good with the red" another nodded. One of the days class students Ryuu smiled
"I didn't think you'd be interested in this kind of thing Ammar"
One of the girls, who I'd seen but never spoken too one of Misaki's friends I think spoke up
"I've never heard you speak that much before" she giggled, I raised my eyebrows
"Oh" I said simply
The Night dorm president, um 'Kaname' looked at the clock.
"We'll sort out jobs tomorrow, the night class lessons will be starting soon."
I wordlessly began putting my stuff away; the rest of the day class were doing it a bit more reluctantly. I started to move my table back.
"It's alright, we'll do it, were in here next anyway" smiled Kaname. I nodded my head in gratitude and went to follow the others out the room.
"See you tomorrow" waved Aido cheerfully. Inwardly rolling my eyes, the night class are, I think, very wired, apparently from what Misaki tells me, they are all very talented, two of them are models and Aido, even though he doesn't show it, is supposed to be extremely clever, I don't know much about their dorm leader Kaname, Misaki just said he was from some rich family or something. The other thing I find is weird is about how beautiful they all are, it's almost un-natural, Hmm who knows I mentally shrugged and continued trailing behind the others. I absentmindedly looked out the window. I heard someone walking up behind me, I turned to see the prefect Zero walking past.
"Stop lagging behind!" he snapped.
"Why?" I asked plainly. He stopped short.
"Because the night class will be coming soon and it would make my job easier if you all weren't here" he scowled.
I didn't say anything I just moved forward so I was walking next to the other two girls.
"Let's stop and hide somewhere!" one of the girls whispered.
"I haven't brought my camera though" whispered the second girl.
"That doesn't matter, I've brought mine."
"Oh you're always so prepared Nanami"
Nanami, smirked, if I was in the mood I would be smirking too but for an entirely different reason, unknown to the two girls, Zero had been walking right behind them I could practically see the vain popping out of his head.
"What about the prefects though, there usually patrolling at this time."
"Oh stop worrying Cho, like they're going to find us." Smirked Nanami "And anyway they can't tell us what to do."
Cho nodded, looking impressed at her friend. We were walking down the main corridor to the door at this point.
"Let's go through there" Cho pointed "There's a little alcove we can hide in until the cost is clear"
Nanami smirked and turned round, the smirk to my amusement, soon dropped when she came face to face with a very pissed off Zero.
"I… I" She stammered
"Where did you too think you were going" Zero asked quite calmly, but saying that you know what they say, quiet before the storm, Cho must have had the same thought because she quickly grabbed Nanami and rushed down the corridor. Idiots.
"Well?"
"Well what?" I asked looking at Zero.
"Aren't you going to chase after them?"
"I thought that was your job?" I replied.
He spluttered in annoyance.
"I meant because there your friends."
I looked at him, I would have looked exasperated and probably a bit annoyed but I didn't have the energy, I just looked away and kept on walking, I know that no one was that stupid to think I was friends with them, so, he must be saying that to try and get a rise out of me, I smirked inwardly, he wants to play, I'll play.
"Unfortunately" I said keeping my face and voice void of emotion, before, before my family were killed I used to struggle to do that, I'd always end up laughing, not anymore though, it's almost instinct now, I always muse sometimes, this time last year, I'd be playing pranks on my sister, or going shopping with my friends anyway I continued speaking. "I still don't know my way around the school that well, and there going a very different way then the usual way out."
"What!" Zero said turning round just in time to see the girls going round a corner, I guess they shouldn't be.
"See you later, Zero chan I said as he ran off. (Chan can be used for babies or friends; in this case Emilia's using it to be rude)
Zero POV
Did she just call me chan? I seethed as I ran after the stupid girls who had decided to wonder off. I soon found them, trying to open a door into an unused classroom. I took them to Kaien, this was going to be a pain I thought as I waited outside his office for Kaien to finish talking to them, as if dealing with the day class normally isn't hard enough I've got to deal with following them around after they've finished the bloody meetings for the ball, which is in itself is a stupid idea, I clenched my fists, after they'd had that stupid meeting, Kaname had called me back, saying something about how I should get used to the night class, I knew that he knew what I was becoming, and the dirty blood sucker was enjoying that fact, so I told him he should get used to being alone, and then walked out the room, I think I hit a nerve because I heard Kaname's lap dog Aido saying I should be punished for deep disrespect or something, I jumped black to the present as the door opened as the girls came filing out not looking very happy. If I'd been someone else they would probably have given me a dirty look.
"Zero kun can you come in please." I heard Kaien yell. I sighed; the idiot probably wants to go on about how nice it is that the night class and day class are getting alone. I think we should just kill them all.
"Ah Zero" smiled Headmaster Kaien Cross leaning back in his chair, "Yuuki's patrolling at the moment so I can't ask her, would you happen to know who Emilia Ammar is?"
I stiffened.
"I've met her" I huffed.
"Oh good, would you mind bring her here please" Kaien smiled.
"Why?" I asked, 'hmm I wonder what she's done'.
"She hasn't done anything wrong" Obviously reading my expression. "Some of the dorm members have complained about her having nightmare's in the night and waking them up…"
"Oh" I said losing interest, Kaien wrote something on a piece of paper and handed it to me, I turned and walked to the door.
"Can if please bring her roommate as well" Kaien called
"Yes headmaster"
"Zero" Kaien said seriously.
I turned back round to look at him.
"Call me daddy" he implored.
After shouting at him and chucking a vase at his head, I started down the corridor that led to the girl dorms, looking at the piece of paper Kaien give me; I avoided looking at the badly drawn flowers he'd drawn around the sides. I reached the door with the number on and knocked. Leaning on the door frame, hoping Kaien had but the right number down. The door opened to revile, Emilia, with her usual blank face, she silently raised her eyebrows
"Headmaster Cross what's to see you."
She clocked her head to the side.
"Don't know why." I shrugged.
She sighed.
"He want's your roommate to come as well"
"Hmm, why would he want me to come?" Asked her roommate coming to the door, it was the girl she was with earlier, Misaki, her name was I think.
"Nightmares" Emilia guessed correctly.
"Hmm, why would he need me for?" wondered Misaki frowning.
"Probably want's to ask how bad they are and if you want me to move rooms, WHICH" said Emilia just as Misaki was about to protest. "I would like you to say yes too"
"Why?" asked Misaki.
"Because I'm sick of keeping you up every night"
"But, I don't mind…"
"Well I do." Emilia huffed.
I smiled slightly, so she does show emotion after all, not very much emotion, but still.
"Well come on, I haven't got all night."
"No, you've got girls to chase haven't you Zero chan" said Emilia, her black face back on, I clenched my fists, ignoring the smug look in her eyes.
"Emilia sama, you can't say that that's rude." Scolded Misaki
"I know." Said Emilia ignoring Misaki's reproachful look, the rest of the way there was in silence. I pointed at the door.
"He's in there" I said simply and went to go help Yuuki petrol.
"Hope you petrol goes well Zero chan" said Emilia enforcing on the 'Chan', I gritted my teeth and continued walking down the corridor.
AHH so ok what do you think, was that ok, the second chapter SHOULD come quicker, I kind of had a bit of writers block for this bit, but I know what I'm doing now thank you for reading, also the seven night class students chosen are surprise, surprise, Ruka, Rima, Takuma, Senri, Kain, Aido and Kaname thank you for reading.
