A/N:
Here it is my fourth fic. This was a little something I wrote in between exams ages
ago so I don't think it's very good. Please R/R anyway. There won't be anymore
chapters unless you ask nicely as they weren't planned but I might come up with
something.
After 8 hours of non-stop parcel delivery
you'd think that a girl could go home and rest. Not me. I get in, get sat down
and my pager goes off. It was Logan fair enough. He'll probably want me to save
the world before he cooks me dinner. I'm not as angry with him as I think
though because I like spending time with him. I don't jump his bones like Cindy
thinks, but I've certainly though about it.
I
pull up to Fogle towers on my baby and put her in the garage. I get in the
elevator and go upstairs. Quietly I pick the lock to his apartment and go in.
To my surprise all the lights are off and there are candles everywhere. I
wonder when I fell asleep as this usually only happens in my dreams.
"Logan," I shout, "You rang."
He rolls out of his computer room, "Yes I
did, sit down." He says motioning towards a chair by the kitchen table. "Sorry
about the lights there was a brownout ."
"It's
OK you couldn't help it." I say wondering why he was apologising. All of a
sudden I smell dinner cooking in the oven, and wonder if the world needs to be
saved tonight. I look at him, man he's gorgeous I think looking at his tousled
hair, black jumper and of course his deep blue eyes. "Stop it!" I mentally
scold myself. He doesn't think of you like that, you wish he did though.
"What's cooking?" I ask catching another
whiff of his latest culinary miracle. "Pork steak in a Chinese marinade," he
tells me.
"Smells
good," So does he but I'm not telling him that.
"It
will be ready in about 5 minutes," he says before going into his bedroom to get
something. The oven timer goes off and he comes out and begins to serve dinner.
"Red or white?" he asks.
"Whichever
is better," I reply knowing I'll probably make the wrong choice.
"White
probably."
"White
it is then."
He poured two glasses of white wine and
put the rest on ice. He went over to the CD player and put on some classical
music. "I thought the power was out." I thought aloud.
"It
was I just 3 hours ago." Logan replied with a cheeky smile on his face.
Did
that mean he was doing this to be romantic? I knew I would find out soon
enough.
10
minutes later he served dinner and as usual it was wonderful. I thought that we
would play chess after dinner as we normally did but I was wrong. Logan had
found some old pre-pulse film for us to watch. It was called Notting Hill and
it was really romantic. Not like I'm into that sort of thing. By the end of it
I had ended up with my head resting on Logan's shoulder and he had his arm
around my shoulders. Neither of us moved for ages, it just felt so right. He
kissed my hair and we both drifted off to sleep. I woke up later the normal the
next morning. Logan was gone but I could smell breakfast being cooked in the
kitchen.
"Morning,"
I said walking through.
"Morning,"
he replied, "Are you going to work today?"
I
wanted to say no and stay with him but I had to face Cindy sometime, "Yeah I
start at half nine." I really started
at nine but so what if I was a little late. I ate the breakfast he had cooked
and then we just talked. It wasn't awkward even after last night. At nine
fifteen I went to leave. I was just about to walk out of the door when I turned
around and kissed Logan. It felt so good. I had been wanting to do this for
ages but even I couldn't have imagined how good it would have felt. He felt it
too, I could tell from the way he looked.
"See
you tonight," I said before leaving. I knew that I would, I couldn't wait much
longer for another kiss like that.
