Destined to Fail
Funny, isn't it? How that nothing but death can really make us stop and think about all of our past mistakes. That's the one thing Life and Death 101 forgot to tell us.
For instance, what would have happened if I never picked up this cursed book? Would I not now be cursed as well? And what about that man, Kurou Otoharada? If I hadn't killed him would I still have thought to purge the world of evil?
And L, if I didn't meet the spider fingered, raven haired detective would I still be the studious college student I was back then? Or would I still be stuck to this condemned fate.
Unfortunately, even without taking account of all the other variables I still know one thing above the rest, why my magnificent plan was destined to fail. Now I understand why Ryuk was laughing when I told him my goal, it was because the world would truly not be pure of evil until it was rid……. Of me.
