Jamal and the golden key

CHAPTER 1: "late for class…..again!"
"Jamal, hurry were 'gonna be late to class again!" Jamal and Nick, were running late, the bus driver wouldn't slow down to pick them up…….again! Jamal, a student at Washington High, a freshman, and a bit of a nerd…ok REALLY a nerd. He had hopes of being popular in high school, but turns out that most the kids that went to his old school go to his new school as well, so same old same old all over again. A bit of an improvement though, Jamal met someone in this high school, his very good friend, Nick. Nick is also unpopular but not quite as nerdy.
"RIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!"
"Dang it Nick, were late again!" Jamal was furious, this is the third time he's late this week. "Jamal, Nick, get your butts in this classroom this second!" Mr. Jacobs is my English, and my P.E. teacher, and that really sucks! "Do you know how many times you were late this week", Nick was lipsing him when he wasn't looking. "Stop it Nick" said Jamal in a whisper "you're 'gonna get us in trouble again". "What was that young man", yelled Mr. Jacobs. "Nothing………………..sir". "Ya that's what I thought you said,……..that's lunch detention…………..FOR BOTH OF YOU, now get back to your seats!" "Dang it Nick look what you got us into now."
CHAPTER 2: "LUNCH DETENTION"
"Dang it Nick look what you got us into now"
"Look I said I was sorry, okay"
"Aight, whatever I just want to get through this detention, ok"
"Ok" Jamal and Nick were walking home (after detention), and decided to stop by the library. They were at the library all day and it had been hours sense they had seen light, because they had had there noses in there social studies books all day.
"Oh SNAP!!!" Nick had just realized that they had been in the library so long that it was past curfew. Nick booked it home as fast as he could "later" said Jamal without being able to even review there study guide. "well I guess I'd better go to" Jamal thought to himself as he packed up and headed out the door, and what happens after he left the library, will change his life forever
