As soon as Tori exited Whisperhug's tent, she picked up her pace. She did, even though all she wanted to do was breakdown and cry. She had to get out of there though, and fast. She just had to get away from everybody and actually comprehend what just happened. What she heard her ex-best friend say.
Within her mind, she kept chanting to keep it together, not to let anyone here see her cry. She could feel tears welling in her eyes, making her pick up her pace more. In her rush, her body collided with another, forcing a small whimper out of the girl. She looked up to see none other than Tristan Milligan, her best friend since forever.
Before Tristan could even say anything, Tori wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. She tried her best to choke back her sobbing, a burning sensation in her throat. "Tor, what's wrong?" Her best friend's voice was alarmed, but laced with concern as he hugged her back, which almost made Tori full out cry.
"... M-My boyfriend is a lying cheater and Maya is a lying, backstabbing-" Her voice cracked, making her unable to finish her sentence, as she started to cry. Tristan led her over to a bench, sitting her down. She was thankful to be sitting, seeing as her legs were getting weak.
After a few minutes of her crying and choking out the story to Tristan, who gave comforting words, she was finally able to somewhat stop her tears. "Tris, I... I just don't know what I did to deserve this." She wiped her eyes, which she was sure was full of smeared mascara. "The guy I love cheated on me, with my best - my ex-best friend." Tristan listened, disappointed and angry at Maya and Zig. He figured they were better than that. They seemed to have proved him wrong.
"You didn't deserve this Tor. They both aren't worth your time or effort." He attempted to wipe the makeup from under her eyes.
"I just don't understand why they did this. Zig has told me multiple times that he loved me, and would always call me his princess. He really made me believe that he truly cared and loved me. Maya was supposed to be my best friend, besides you of course. Sure, we've fought, but I never thought she'd go as low, as to steal my boyfriend! I-I just don't understand..."
And truly, she didn't understand.
