He'd always enjoyed the thought of her being his; no matter how greedy or immature as it sounded. Her porcelain smooth skin that rested against his hands as he cupped her cheeks, or the light blush she'd get when he'd compliment her, he loved everything about her. But like his grandfather would always tell him, 'if you really love something, set it free.' He was having the hardest time letting her go, he didn't want to think of her being another man's, or her waking up in the bed of a man that wasn't him.

He sighed shakily as he watched her walk down the aisle. Her long flowing Rapunzel gold hair, her sparkly white wedding dress... His heart ached. Kathy. He had to let her go, he had to... But he didn't want to. His clenched his fists tightly as he tried to control his bottled up emotions. He winced lightly as it felt like an arrow shot through his heart, as he watched her join hands with her fiance, her husband. Owen.

"Kasey...?" He ignored the voice and the hand that they placed on his shoulder. He'd have to get over her, but it hurt him. A small ounce of hope rose in his chest as she turned around and regarded him with her emerald eyes, as her lips gave him a small saddened smile. Those lips, he remembered, used to whisper in his ear, rest on his lips, and beg him to stop this wedding. He failed...He failed for himself and for her, as all they wanted was to be together.

Kasey hated to show himself break down in front of others, but in front of her it didn't matter, she meant everything to him. As few tears slide down his cheek he wiped them away quickly to avoid them from being seen. His thoughts strayed to the weeks before her wedding when she'd come to his home in the middle of the night and cry in his arms, begging for him to stop the wedding, constantly repeating 'I love you's,' to him. It was not her nature to break down like that, but love changes you. Desperation changes you.

Returning his gaze to the alter, a twinge of anger and revulsion rose in him as he watched Owen eying her hungrily. He didn't hate Owen, he just hated the fact that he was marrying the woman he loved. What Owen would never know was that he might me married to her, but Kathy was his entirely. Her heart, her love, her devotion, belonged to Kasey.

Oh how he cherished the last nights he had whether before she was to wed. How'd she snuggle into his arms and nuzzle his neck. How her hair would tickle his nose as he held her close, the way she'd whisper his name into his ear, as he lay in bed with her, or the way she'd moan out his name. All those things, he would miss...

He couldn't handle it anymore he had to get out of church. He rose from his seat, and shuffled out of his seat. He couldn't bear to witness, Kathy kiss another man. As he walked out and was ready to push the door, he glanced over his shoulder, to see her watching him misery that matched his written all over her face. 'What can we do, Kathy?' He thought sadly. 'Your father and his grandfather arranged this wedding and there was no way around it.'

He shoved the doors open and walked into the cool spring air. The green scenery was a painful reminder of her. Kasey marched out of the Celesta Church grounds, and walked to his farm. He had to leave this place, he had to leave Casanet, if not permanently then just for awhile.
