Connected Hearts
"Ichigo." He stopped her. She turned around. Ryou put his hand over her heart as he put her hand over his own; their pulse was the same. "Our hearts are connected, beating to the same rhythm. We are a part of each other."
"What happens if I die?" she asked, her eyes filling with tears.
"Then my heart would beat irregularly, if it doesn't stop altogether."
"What makes you think that?"
"Because I love you." Her eyes widened as he leaned his face in.
A/N: Sorry if it's confusing, I'm half-asleep right now. Hey, I've got a little challenge for you: try to incorporate something about Ryou's and Ichigo's hearts being connected (either through love or some other means), and turn this idea into a longer story! :)
