Meeting With The Potential In Laws

Jay was enjoying the many chocolate treats on offer at parents day when he saw Lonnie showing her parents around the grounds,

"And this is the grounds" she told them with a smile but her mother looked at her father unimpressed,

"I still think that we should suggest a larger labyrinth" the woman said,

"It's not challenging enough. The enemy would find their way through it easily" she reasoned and Jay smirked when he saw Lonnie groan with embarrassment,

"There is no enemy mom." She whined and her mother looked at her daughter unimpressed,

"Lonnie. I didn't earn the emperor's crest for letting my guard down" she said as she gestured to the medallion around her neck and Lonnie's father nodded,

"Your mother is right Lonnie. A good warrior is always on guard. The enemy never rests" he said firmly before wrapping his arm around his wife's shoulders causing her to smile at him lovingly.

Jay couldn't help but be amused by Lonnie's embarrassment due to her parents. He came to her side whilst Mulan and Le Shang were in a discussion about a larger labyrinth with the king and queen,

"Just be thankful my dad's not here" he said with an amused smirk as he folded his arms. Lonnie looked exhausted due to her embarrassment,

"I doubt he'd be discussing potential war strategies" she whined and Jay chuckled,

"Nah he'd be sneaking off to check all the vase and lamp based objects for genies" he told her and she couldn't help but giggle before smiling at him,

"No way" she said with a look of amusement and he nodded,

"Way. He's obsessed with finding another genie" he told her and they both laughed.

Mulan heard the laugher and paused in her conversation with the king and queen and looked behind her and smiled as her daughter laughed with her friend. She nudged Shang causing him to look and she smiled gesturing to their daughter,

"Remind you of anyone?" she asked and he smiled brightly,

"Another couple who can face any battle" he said before looking back at the king and queen politely and bowed,

"Please excuse us" he said and the king and queen nodded as they watched them walk towards Lonnie and Jay.

King Beast looked at his wife with confusion,

"A bigger labyrinth?" he asked and she smiled gently before patting his shoulder,

"We'll talk later" she said with an amused smile.

Mulan and Shang approached Lonnie and Jay and they both smiled,

"Are you going introduce us Lonnie?" her father asked and Lonnie finished giggling,

"Of course daddy" she said before smiling brightly,

"This is Jay" she said gently,

"Jay these of my parents. Mulan and Shang" she said politely and Jay nodded his head in greeting,

"Pleased to me you" he said before shaking her father's hand.
