Chapter one
"Wake-up call"
Lizy lay in bed,fed up.It was a saturday morning, and already she was feeling down.
The reason she was feeling down was simple.TJ.She felt ever so confused,hard to tell what she was feeling.You see ever since she had first saw him, she had liked him.
Lizy sighed. I wish things were different between me and him,she thought.
Lizy glanced at her alarm clock. It was nearly 9.30AM.Hmm..i better get up,she said to herself.She was off to her friend's house,Sarahs at 11.00AM, to try and take her mind off the whole "TJ situation".
Although there was nothing to get over.
The fact that Lizy clearly liked him, but he was just too blind to see it.
Without hestitating,Lizy jumped out of bed,with a different attitude,and pulled out a pair of dark blue jeans and a black top.She put them on,then moving to the mirror to sort out her hair.
Lizy quicky combed it, and put it up in a high,neat ponytail. She hurried downstairs, heading for the kitchen. She reached out for a banana,peeled it and started to eat it.
She then made herself a glass of orange juice, and gulped it down.
Lizy glanced at the kitchen clock,reading the time.Before wasting another second,she hurried upstairs.
From her bedroom,Lizy grabbed her handbag,hurried down the stairs,slipped her punkrose pumps on and headed out to the bus stop. She didn't have to wait long for the bus to come. She showed her bus pass to the driver, and took a seat. Lizy remembered to press the button, so when the bus past Church Aston,thats what she did.
She walked the way to her friend's house.
When she got there,Sarah(her friend) welcomed her with a smile and a hug.
"Hello,she spoke."Glad you could come."
"Well,i don't think i would have been up to much",said Lizy
As they entered the kitchen,Sarah's mum greeted them.Sarah led the way up to her room.
They both sat down on the bed,exchanging looks. It was silent so Sarah spoke.
"So,umm how are things?"
Lizy knew what her friend was asking about. About TJ.
"I have no idea what i'm going to do",she replied. "I feel so confused right now. He's making me crazy or he's feelings are.Why can't he just admit how he feels eh?"
"Poor Lizy!",said her friend,tuting."Let me give you some advice.Forget him.He's not worth stressing over.If he did like you back,im sure he would have told you or had done something,surely."
Lizy knew in the long run,Sarah was right. Maybe she should forget him. But she couldn't just ignore her feelings or could she?
"It upsets me so much.I really like him Sarah.I can't believe he don't feel the same way."Lizy started to cry.
"He's not worth getting upset over",Sarah said quickly, reassuring her friend. She hated seeing Lizy like this. All she wanted was for Lizy to be happy,that's all.She put her hand on Lizy's shoulder,reassuring her with a smile.
"I guess i'll have to try and forget him",Lizy sighed,although she knew it was the right thing to do.
"Yeah,although that might be hard.I mean he's still going to be around at college",reminded Sarah.
"Oh yeah.Hmm...I can't just blank him completely because then he'll know somethings wrong. What should i do?"asked Lizy.
Sarah rolled her eyes,thinking before saying:"Well,if you see him say hi,but don't ignore him.Just you know be casual".
Lizy nodded,giving her friend a hug."Thank you",she said lightly.
"Hey,what are friends for?" Sarah said smiling.
When Lizy got home,that night she felt different.She felt better after having that talk with Sarah.She knew it was going to be hard, but she had to,for both her and TJ's sake.She knew she couldn't force him to like her.
As she lay in bed,that night Lizy kept thinking about TJ.She couldn't help it.
Oh well,that was all about to change. . .
