Queen and Pawns

(Author's note: Subtle, but major spoilers for Doki Doki Literature Club. Don't read this and get mad at me cuz you saw something you weren't supposed to know about yet. Monika second best girl.)

The queen: the most powerful piece.
Commands her pawns to do her work.
In order to keep her hands clean of dirt.
As being at the top brings no peace.

Every day, the queen conspires against her subjects.
Since power invades the head with paranoia and fear.
She'll turn against the ones she once loved dear.
As power brings out the worse in all without prejudice.

The queen must do well to conceal her intentions.
As Mr. Greene always suggests, that Law 3.
She must not expose her mess, to those three.
As it will bring rise to more than mere suspicions.

Her pawns: ignorant of their queen's schemes.
They enter her throne room, greeted by her lovely smile.
She issues the daily plans, breaking them down by the hour.
Despite the Queen's warm appearance, nothing appears as it seems.

The queen wants her pawns dead
The fear of the truth is too much for her head
Ruled by madness, it brings her nothing but dread
Driven by jealousy, she'll soon start the bloodshed

It is not long until the queen starts the pawns' doom
Kill them all before they all dare to spark a revolt
Destroy all enemies, don't spare them by keeping them remote
And soon, everything you've worked for will come into bloom

One-by-one, the queen executes her pawns
The first pawn is strung up by her little neck
The second pawn gets a bit of a small break
The final pawn gets her organs butchered up
One-by-one, the pawns are mercilessly slain.

At last, the Queen has won!
Her genius plot, no one else could do that
Even if they try and try
Such brutality and trickery
It would even make Machiavelli cry.

The queen: the most powerful piece,
must do everything necessary to remove suspicion.
In order to retain her utmost position.
As being at the top brings no peace.

(Author notes:
The Prince by Niccolo' Machiavelli and The 48 Laws of Power are excellent books. Y'all should read them.)
