A New Beginning
Chapter One: The Surprise
I was in my room when Mom came in giggling hysterically.
"What did you do now, Mom?" I asked Renee it an attempt to settle her down.
"I. Found. HIM!" Renee said trying to breathe in between each word.
"Do you even know who he is, what he does, were he lives?" I asked trying to be logical.
"Phil. Baseball player." Renee said happily. I couldn't believe that she could really find someone who could put up with her mood swings and forgetfulness.
"Does he like you back?" I asked a little impressed.
"He seems like he does," Renee said, suddenly thoughtful.
"Oh no, not another on-line boyfriend!" I whined shoving my head into my hands.
"Well, it said it was 83% accurate so I decided to try it and he's coming here, tonight!"
"No, no, no, you are not doing this. You are not allowed to date remember." I screamed in anger and disappointment.
"But Bella, can I" Renee pleaded.
"No, no, no, no!" I hollered in denial.
"Well, I can't cancel… He's coming from Jacksonville." Renee stuttered.
"Mom! No!" I whimpered. "Wait he's coming here?" She promised me, promised me that she wouldn't online date anymore, ever! Last time this happen we had to go all the to Canada.
"Yes." Renee said in a small voice. Well as long as I didn't have to pack, then drive back with a broken hearted Renee.

Chapter Two: Meeting Phil
I was fully prepared for some crazy whack job to be knocking on the door, but I was not prepared for Phil. He was nice, clean, smart and perfect for Renee, offering her flowers and chocolate. He was clearly strong enough, physically and emotionally, to deal with my mom.
"Hello Renee, Bella!" Phil said nodding his head and hugging us casually.
"Bella, this is Phil!" Renee said, not normal, too bubbly.
"Uh, hi Phil." I said awkwardly. "Come on in". Phil shuffled in looking around nervously as I eyed him down.
"Are you okay Phil?" My mother asked, worried.
"Oh, um, yeah. Baseball practice was a little rough this week." Phil chuckled.

Mom and Phil got married… So I had to live with my dad in Forks!
