Aria and Ezra walked through the front door of their home together hand in hand. Aria carried a tiny sleeping 4 year old Daisy Fitz in her arms.
Daisy was referred to as their "miracle baby" because the chances of Aria getting pregnant were slim to none so when they found out she was carrying a baby it was the shock of their lives. The day Daisy came into the world was the happiest day of their lives.
Ezra quietly shut the door behind them. It was 9:00 pm and they had just returned from dinner with Aria's parents. "I'm gonna go put her in her bed" Daisy had her arms around her moms neck and her head snuggled against Aria's shoulder, her little snores filling up the room.
Daisy was the perfect combination of Aria and Ezra. She had her moms big gorgeous eyes and a curly mess of brown hair. She was so polite and mature for a 4 year, not to mention incredibly smart and witty. Everyone who met the little girl instantly fell in love with her bubbly personality.
Aria removed the toddler from her arms and tucked her into bed. "Goodnight baby" she leaned down and kissed her forehead "I love you so much" she switched on the owl nightlight and walked out of the pink bedroom.
"She didn't even flinch when I laid her down she was so out of it" Ezra chuckled at Aria's words. They walked over to the couch together and although they had the entire couch to sit on Aria decided to cuddle into Ezra's lap. "I love her so much it's unreal" Aria said as she pulled a blanket over the two of them. "Me too, the fact that she's even here is kind of incredible" they sat together in silence just enjoying each other's company when a tiny voice was heard from the other room.
"Mama!" Daisy yelled from her bedroom. Aria got up and walked back to Daisy's room. Daisy was sitting up on her bed with her little stuffed pig under her arm and Aria couldn't tell if she was fully awake or not. "What's the matter sweet girl?" she picked up the tired toddler and swept some hair out of her face. "I woke up and I just wanted you to hold me mommy" Aria's heart melted at the little girls sweet words. She swayed back and forth holding her mini me for awhile and then walked back into the living room, but by the time she got there Daisy was already practically asleep again.
"What was it?" Ezra asked as he gazed at their daughter. "She just wanted her mommy" Aria sat back down on the couch and draped the blanket over her and Daisy. She gently took the stuffed pig out of Daisy's tiny hand and sat it on the coffee table.
"Remember pigtunia?" Ezra chuckled as he asked the question. "Her legacy has been carried on" they laughed together causing Daisy to stir in her sleep. She repositioned herself perfectly in between her mom and Dad with her limbs sprawled out all over the place. "She's actually perfect" Ezra said as her stared down at his daughter. "I can't believe she's actually ours sometimes. Half you and half me. I love it" Aria and Ezra leaned down and kissed each of Daisy's cheeks at the same time making her chubby little face scrunch up, they laughed at the sight. They cuddled closer together with Daisy squished in between them.
Right there, in that moment, was something Aria had always dreamed of. When she found out she couldn't have kids she thought she would never see this day. She was the happiest she had been in her entire life with Daisy in the picture. She loved her little family more than words could show and hoped to someday in the future expand it.
