A kidnapper with a grizzly sense of humor has buried his victim alive in the woods, leaving a convoluted series of clues for Eames and Goren to unravel. After spending hours tramping around the woods
Alex never intended to peek
When Bobby was taking a leak
But despite all her care
She saw parts of him bare -
And found she liked more than his cheek.

Quickly getting over their mutual embarrassment, our intrepid detectives return to work and after several more hours manage to find and rescue the victim who proceeds to inform them of the identity of his kidnapper. A quick call to headquarters arranges to have the man picked up and Alex and Bobby drive back to the city. It's been a long day and so, after dropping Bobby off at his apartment, Alex heads home and decides to go straight to bed. But Bobby is too wired to go to sleep. Instead, he prepares to indulge in his latest passion, astronomy. Unfortunately, being as tall as he is, the only way he can focus on the skies from his apartment window is while kneeling. After about fifteen minutes, this becomes uncomfortable but only temporarily.
As a Catholic he should have confessed
To watching while Alex undressed
Getting up off his knees
The 'scope slipped twelve degrees -
I'll leave you to fill in the rest.

Early the next morning
Carver is busy preparing an indictment against the kidnapper that Bobby and Alex tracked down the day before. It's a complex case because the victim can't be certain that the man who kidnapped him is also responsible for burying him. Carver is so engrossed in his work that when the doorbell rings, in his haste to answer it, he neglects to remember that he hasn't yet dressed for the day. And since he sleeps au naturalle
Though her gaze quickly fell to the floor
When the DA answered the door -
Eames already knew
'Bout Ron's single tattoo
Now she's proof that he doesn't have more.

Meanwhile, Bobby has arrived at One Police Plaza and discovered that his captain has inadvertently taken a report dealing with an on-going case home with him the night before. Since Deakins' plans call for him to join his wife at their ski chalet that day, Bobby decides drive out to Deakin's home, hoping to catch him before he leaves. When he arrives he is puzzled but pleased to see not one, but two cars in the driveway. Getting out of his own car he approaches the front door and raises his hand to knock, pausing when he hears soft laughing murmurs coming from behind the door. He recognizes Deakins' voice immediately and slowly realizes there is something both familiar and unfamiliar about the second voice. It's not Deakins wife.
He knew when he heard Bishop moan
That his captain was not home alone
A quick glance through the curtain
Left Bobby quite certain
He should leave and call Deak on the phone.
