' Hey, Tala did you know that Kai got a call from Hilary!' , said Bryan . Tala did a double take and stared at him

'really?!'

'yeah ! I heard him talking for like 3 hours'

Tala smiled in a mischievous manner 'be right back' , he set his cup of coffee down and dashed across the hall towards kai's study . He goes in to find Kai standing in the middle of the room smiling at his phone. Tala raised an eyebrow and cleared his throat loudly.

' w-what? You should have knocked' he said furiously shoving his phone into his pocket.

'Do I ever knock? I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go for a walk'

'why though?' he asked suspiciously

'It's such a beautiful cloudy weather outside I wouldn't miss it for the world ' he said while dragging his friend along .

kai rolled his eyes and let him drag him relieved that he hadn't seen him with the phone . 'Thanks for listening to my reply' he said sarcastically.

' it's your phone bill! that's gone real high '

' It is important we are gonna loose all our money in that!' Tala said dramatically

' YES I AM! why have you been getting international calls from Hawaii?'

'I thought I said something about the phone bill'

' You've been talking to someone for 3 hours! I didn't even know you could talk for that long'

'why would I be talking to a girl from Hawaii? that's ridiculous , you're making it up'

Tala narrowed his purple eyes and smiled 'who said anything about "a girl"? ' Kai mentally kicked himself ' Uh I didn't!' He turned around to walk away. Tala ran to catch up

'ok! so what if Hil-' he broke off wishing the pavement would give him a high-five in the face.

'aha! Hilary huh?' He teased. 'she finally called you huh? like you always wished she would'

'No I didn't! you talk to Julia everyday!' he said going red. 'ya so?'

'Hils huh?' he teased looking at his phone .

' excuse me ' he said blushing and taking the call.

Kai walks back to Tala who was sitting on a bench . 'ooh so she is coming over?' Tala said in a sing song voice.

' how do you know that?' he asked

Tala shrugged . Kai rolled his eyes and started walking away muttering something that sounded like " bat ears"
