Pairing: The Economic Crisis/Latvia
Some background facts: Recently the former Prime Minister and the former Minister of Finance of Latvia declared that Latvia wasn't going to go bankrupt any time soon. Which is a bit of a peculiar statement, given that Latvia has a vast National Debt and needs to keep borrowing.
Warning(s): Please note that some (basic) knowledge of the terms used in economics is useful if you want to grasp the meanin fully.
Poor exhausted Latvia sneezed for the third time in one minute and covered his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Here, take it." the European countries handed him a handkerchief with a pretty euro pattern printed on it. As soon as Latvia accepted, they hurried to move away in unison: everybody feared catching the disease.
"I think you should go for some injections." suggested Germany. "Apparently, they stimulate growth and help you to get better. The crisis can get very serious, you know."
"Rubbish! I'm not suffering from any kind of crisis!" Latvia objected angrily.
And yet he hid the handkerchief in his pocket.
