Hinata and Kiba sat in the training area, breaking for lunch. Shino had left so he could help his father do something. (A/N: I have such a sick mind. In my head, this came out as sounding perverted.) The two ninja ate, each thinking of the other in a more-than-friends way.
Kiba sat on the ground, staring at Hinata. Since they were training, she had taken off her sweater and was wearing a black t-shirt and her pale body glistened with sweat. Kiba watched her, almost forgetting about his own lunch as she lifted her chopsticks to her mouth to eat her rice. He liked the way she was so spaced out while they ate, and he smiled as she blushed at something, probably just a thought in her head. He thought she was cute when she blushed.
Hinata ate slowly, and her mind wandered. More than once, she caught herself staring at Kiba as he ate, watching the adorable way he shoveled his food in his mouth in a rather wolfish way. Whenever she found herself thinking this, she would blush and tell herself that Kiba was her teammate and nothing else.
Hinata smiled as she pulled a piece of cake from her boxed lunch. Taking the top off of the container, she started to eat the cake, leaving the icing for after (A/N: That's what I do; attack the actual cake part and then eat the icing). Hinata smiled more as the chocolate cake made its way to her mouth, which was watering as it anticipated a delicious taste.
Kiba watched as Hinata finished her cake and started to eat the icing. He smiled at the way she was so obviously enjoying the chocolate-y goodness. Kiba blinked and finished his own lunch just before Hinata was about to put the last bit of icing in her mouth. 'About' and 'to' being the operative words here, because just before the icing was in her mouth, Kiba leaned forward and pushed her hand so that the icing landed on her nose.
Kiba snickered at his own prank, and then howled with laughter at the kunoichi's surprised and dazed expression. He leaned forward once again and licked the icing off of her nose, holding in more laughs the whole time. Hinata looked simply confused, and Kiba poked her thigh and let out a loud bark of a laugh. Hinata blushed and giggled at the same time, and she leaned forward, pushing Kiba onto his back. She erupted into giggles, hand covering her mouth.
Kiba picked himself up and playfully pushed Hinata's shoulder lightly before pecking her cheek.
When Shino came back to resume training, he found Kiba doubled over in laughter and Hinata sporting a blush but having a giggle fit all the same.
And….. Finish! That was the shortest one-shot I've ever written. KibaHina is my favourite couple! The inspiration came to me whist I was eating cake. I just randomly thought "What if Hinata and Kiba were eating, and Hinata ate cake?"
