Chapter 8:
New Doctor, New Life
As we fell through the sky in my big, blue box of a home, it felt as though time had slowed down. I could see Kate, floating in mid air, due to how fast we were falling. I managed to throw myself onto the console and pull some levers, but the lever that would activate the TARDIS engines was out of my reach. Kate threw herself towards me, and give me a little push towards it. As I pulled it, the TARDIS levelled itself so quickly that me and Kate were thrown onto the metal grating that was covering the floor. When we stood up, I looked at the monitor and cheered, and Kate cheered along with me.
"Yes, thanks Kate! I love you!" but then I cut myself off and covered my mouth. Kate looked at me with such compassion that I didn't care what happened next, whether good or bad. She walked towards me, held my shoulders and asked me a question.
"Do you really mean it?" then, I asked her a rhetorical question.
"Do I have a time machine?" we both laughed, then Kate placed her lips against mine. When we had finished, I walked around the TARDIS console and came to halt.
"Right, lets land!" I said, flicking switches and levers.
"Flooring the helmet regulator, triangulating the huon crystals and finally, landing!" I said, as I landed the TARDIS.
We stepped outside the TARDIS doors and we were standing in the room where the shell had been. Kate turned to look at me, not knowing why we was where we were.
"Why are we here?" she asked, quite furious.
"You helped me, Kate, but now our adventure is done." I told her.
"But, think of what we did! We saved Earth, and now you're dumping me here?!" she shouted at me, about to hit me. I was about to explain to her that I was joking, when she yelled some more.
"Well, in that case I think you better just go!" then she turned to walk away. Then, I turned around, opened the doors, left them open and called behind me.
"Come along, Tyler!" after saying that, Kate instantly ran through the doors after me and said that it wasn't very nice what I just did. Then, I made the TARDIS take off, and we flew far across the universe.
So, I'm the Doctor. I'm a one thousand year old time lord from the planet Gallifrey. I'm the person that has saved Earth from near destruction countless times before and now I'm in love. You got a problem with that?
