The meeting was ending soon. Not too much had happened, and, to be honest, that was common the last few weeks. For the first time in what seemed like ages (it very well could have been ages actually, nation's don't really change overtime) they were getting along nicely. Francis hadn't been too much of a flirt, Ludwig had been able to keep his voice down, Arthur hadn't cursed anyone, and Alfred, well, Alfred was nowhere to be seen. It didn't seem like anyone noticed, or if they did, it didn't seem like they cared. If they had seen the other at all, the remaining countries may have thought Matthew was his brother (if, of course, Matthew chose to speak up every once in awhile. The two may share some looks, but personalities? That's another story).

"Well, since we have nothing to discuss, we might as well go home." Feliciano perked up at this note, but he always seemed to smile when Ludwig spoke. Tino and Berwald walked out together, as did the other couples. Kiku, however, was alone. Though he could have possibly left with Arthur, he prefers to be left alone. The peace, the quiet, the serenity... what more could be asked of life?

"You aren't going to stay here, are you? It does get a bit cold later at night." That was just like Arthur. He looked to help Kiku at times (and this was one of those times), though it never felt natural. It always seemed like Arthur was forcing himself into a friendship, almost wishing they could be close, but never was able to get past a simple 'hello'.

"I will not be long," Kilu replied, "but you should go." Was there something wrong with being alone? He absentmindedly made his way over to one of the windows in the hall and gazed out into nothing. After a few moments of this, Arthur left. Kiku took no notice of it. He felt like something was... missing, something that should have been near where he was now. He looked to his right and saw an empty chair. Once he saw a ring of thirteen stars on it, he almost (but not quite) grew angry with himself. "How could we not have noticed him missing?" he said aloud for no one to hear, but he called Ludwig to tell the others.

"Ja, I know. He's just sick." Kiku could hear Feliciano in the background cooking something for the two, but somehow, over all of that noise, he heard Ludwig's response.

"He's been gone for weeks, and we don't really get sick for long. He could be hurt, but that only lasts a week... Oh, he could be dead too, and that lasts a month at least. Well, I guess he could be stranded somewhere like we were, right?"

Speaking to Feliciano and no longer to Kiku, Ludwig was surprised he even knew that. "Ja... but no one's killed him and terrible things happened on that island. Feli, remember what Kiku and I did that we don't talk about?"

He brought 23.5 into this? "Well, there was an ocean and jungle full of food surrounding us... And there was that one Chinatown there... and cannibalism is bad..."

Well, Kiku hadn't hung up on the two, and mentioning that episode between the three had stirred up some unwanted memories. "We will not let it happen again. But we do need to find him. Do you know where the island is?"

"Si! I can find it for you." This earned a perplexed look from both nations, although only Ludwig's was able to be directed at Feliciano. "You never really forget where you died," he said in response to their reactions, "so it should be easy!"

"We'll meet you at the meeting room tomorrow," Ludwig said, and hung up.

Kiku thought for a moment. "Hm," he said aloud, "Arthur should know."

"Stranded? How could he be stranded? He hasn't gone anywhere-" Arthur paused, it seemed like he just regained a memory lost in the hands of time. "Hawaii," he mumbled, "he went to Hawaii."

"For that long? That doesn't seem right, even for him."

"No, you don't understand. He left from New York, which makes it a longer flight in itself, but I tried calling him a day after. He should have been on the islands by then."

"Maybe it is out of power?" That is unlikely actually, he always has a portable charger. His phone also always has connection. So, that would mean the phone is broken, or he's... well, dead. Lines of worry were forming on Kiku's brow. Arthur had noticed.

"He always has that pistol with him, he should be alright. But still..." He looked out a nearby window. "I should come with you. I don't want to see him hurt."

Kiku put as much sympathy into his look that he could muster. "Neither do I."
