Booth walked into the diner with Tempe and he scanned the room for the rest of the party
Booth walked into the diner with Tempe and he scanned the room for the rest of the party. There was no need, however, because seconds after they were inside Zack was by their side talking excitedly.
The FBI agent raised his hand silencing the younger man. Zack smiled at him before taking in a deep breath. Something that it appeared he hadn't done all morning. "Glad to hear that Cam didn't split up the dream team, kid." Then, with an open hand, Booth patted him firmly on the shoulder.
Tempe smiled at her colleague and then excused herself so that she could return to her girlfriends side. Booth and Zack stood there for a moment, smiling at each other, letting the silence grow heavier. After what felt like an eternity, Zack broke the silence. "This means that you and I might be working closer, Agent Booth." Booths eyes grew a bit in surprise, his heart skipped a beat in excitement and his mind began to wonder to find a way to make that happen.
