I stand there deep inside the woods of District 12 breathing in the fresh fall thin air. Someone touches me from behind which sends my blond wavy hair flying. "Gale" I laugh. "Undersee" he grins. He scoops me up and gives me a spin. After about a minute he sets me down on my back in the leaves. "I've missed you so much" I say throwing a leaf at him. He falls back into the leaves...next to me. "I've missed you more" He leans in and kisses me on the lips softly. It feels like sparks are flying in the air. It's magic, it must have been the way he kissed me. After the giggling stops from our faces, a sad look appears on my face. "What's wrong Madge?" he asks. I pause breifly before replying. "It's just your always with Katniss" Gale bites his lip. "You know we're only best friends" he says. "She has Peeta" Gale continues. "And you have me, right?" I say taking some leaves out of my hair. "That's right" Gale says and kisses my cheek. "Then why can't she know about us?" I ask avoiding his eyes. Gale is silent for a few seconds. "Because it's already stressful enough from the games for her, we have to wait until things calm down" "Okay" I say rolling my eyes. "I love you a lot you know" Gale says grinning. "You do?" I ask my eyes are glowing. "Love is a special word. You only say it to special people" Gale says giggling. A wise side of Gale I think to myself. "I love you more" I say kissing him. "Not possible" he smiles. But there's a voice inside my head saying "He loves Katniss too.."
