"I'll be home a little later than usual." Pewds said, his voice a bit different due to the static the land line produced.
"Alright, I'll be here." Cry's voice held a hint of loneliness.
"Later bro." The Swede hung up without giving the other the time to reply.
Cry sighed and put the phone back into its cradle. "Now what am I going to do?"
The brunette decided to distract himself by watching something on television. Plopping himself down on the couch, he picked up the remote and turned it on. He channel surfed, but found nothing of interest and turned it back off. Cry got up again and picked his book up off the table while making his way to the kitchen. He filled the kettle with water and set it on the stove. Turning the knob on the front, the burner lit. Cry opened the cupboard and pulled two cups and a couple packets of hot chocolate down. He set them on the counter and turned to go sit at the table.
A glint from the window caught his eye before he could sit. Noticing that the window was covered in frost, he set the book down and walked into the living area. He stood in front of the door that connected to the apartment's balcony. Cry pressed his fingers against the cool glass and shivered. He watched the snow start to fall, causing the orange and pink sky look like it was glittering.
The snow soon grew to the size of cotton balls as the sky started to darken into different shades of purple. Without thinking, Cry pushed the sliding door open and stepped outside. He grinned at the fluffy things falling from the sky and stuck his tongue out, moving around, trying to catch one like a child. When he finally got bored of his silly game, he sat in one of the plastic chairs to watch the rest of the sunset.
Pewds walked into the apartment, looking around for his best friend. "Cry! I'm home!" He shut the door and locked it before turning and setting his keys on the rack beside the door. It surprised him that he didn't hear anything from Cry yet. "Cry?"
The blonde turned around and started to search the apartment. He checked both of their bedrooms, the bathroom, and the living area before he heard the screeching of the kettle from the kitchen. Turning on his heel, he walked into the kitchen. "Cry, where are you?" He was left unanswered as he turned the burner off.
Pewds walked out again and sighed. A familiar whiteness on the balcony caught his attention. It was still snowing.
He wandered to the balcony door and opened it. As soon as he saw Cry, head resting on the palm of his hand with his arm sitting on the arm of the chair, without a coat, he began to worry even more. Pewds reached out to his beloved friend and dusted the snow out of his dark hair. He picked the brunette up and carried him back into the apartment, shutting the door with a bit of trouble. The Swede took them to his own room and set the other on the bed, quickly covering him up. His cheeks, nose, and ears were a bit rosey due to the cold.
Sighing, the Swede laid down with him and carefully wrapped his arms around the other. "I bet you're going to be sick in the morning," He mumbled before kissing the dark hair.
