Near a village there lives a demon who, every few decades, demands a human from that village to be his pet. It is now time for a new one...
"Do we really have to do this?" A guard asked, looking around him to make sure nothing would jump out of the woods at him. "Yes we do." Another guard answered. He was looking straight ahead, not as scared as the first guard.
The two guards were escorting the one who was to be "sacrificed" to the demon. It was a girl with black hair and brown eyes. The village leaders decided to pick someone off the streets rather than lose anymore important people.
She was wearing really tattered clothes, they didn't dress her up like they normally would. Her hair was in two braids that started a little below her ears and ended a little past her shoulder, tied with red ribbons. She had loose bandages covering her right eye, like a makeshift eyepatch, some bangs barely covering it.
Once they reached the cave where the demon lives they stopped a few feet in front of the cave. Suddenly there was a growl coming from the cave, they looked and saw eyes in the cave glaring at them. The guards pushed the girl and ran away. The girl fell and scraped her hands on the rocks in front of the cave.
"Enter." The demon commanded as the girl shakily got up. She timidly entered the cave, scared of what may happen. As soon as she entered the cave the demon grabbed her and dragged her into a room carved in the cave.
She was dropped on a large round pet bed. She heard a 'click' and saw the demon had locked a collar, with a leash attached to the wall, around her neck. "My name is Kanda. You are my new pet. Now go to sleep." was all he said before he left.
