The sky was blue, not a cloud in sight. The Marauders, as they called themselves, were obviously up to no good. James Potter was lying in the grass, looking up at the blue sky, thinking deeply. Sirius Black was cracking jokes causing Peter Pettigrew to double-up on the floor laughing. And lastly, Remus Lupin had his nose in his textbook although his mind was in a completely different world.
"Hey Moony, when's the next full moon?" Sirius asked.
"Shut up Pads, someone'll overhear!"
"Evans." James said dreamily.
"Uhh…Prongs why do you even bother with her. She'll never go out with you anyway."
"Pads, leave him alone, he'll get over it. Hopefully." Remus said.
"Oh god, there she is!"
To James, Lily Evans was the most beautiful girl in the world. The way that she laughed, a small laugh escaping from her lips. When standing in the wind, her long and flowy, flaming red hair flew back. God, she was just drop-dead-gorgeous.
Shoving these thoughts to the back of his head, James got up and strutted over to Lily.
"Go out with me Lily?" James asked, his eyes pleading, holding out a lily flower in his hands.
"NO! Stop asking me you conceited egotistical bighead who needs a brain replacement. Maybe when you deflate that huge head of yours, I might even put the idea into consideration!" And with that, she stormed off.
James headed back to his friends, where they sat watching him, amused.
"Rejected again Prongs?"
