I know, I know, I shouldn't start a sequel before the story is even finished, but I really wanted to write this :) I hope you like it!

Nick was laying in bed, next to his husband, Jeff. They had put on some soft music and Nick, his mind lost in thoughts, was stroking the soft purple blanket he was currently laying on. It was an early Saturday night and their lovely baby daughter Stella was asleep already.

Nick turned his body around, changing the direction he was facing. Before he had been looking at the huge glass window, which was showing the upper west side of Manhattan. What he was now looking at was even more beautiful than the lit up city he had faced before.

Jeff was laying there, his face on his folded hands, the slightly too long blond hair was covering his closed eyes. Nick sighed. He couldn't believe that this gorgeous man was his. He moved his hand onto Jeff's head, moving a strand of hair away so he could have a look at the dark lashes that he was sometimes pretty jealous of. He smiled as Jeff moved his hand down his face, resting it on his cheek. In a burst of sudden realisation he rushed into a seating position.

S***, s***, s***... he thought to himself. His knuckles turned white from the tight fist.

"Baby?" The soft voice of Jeff whispered through a yawn. Jeff had been dozing off, the week had been hard and he usually worked late on Saturdays; so it was his entitlement to relax a little when it finally came to his day off.

"What's wrong?" He asked. Nick noticed that he moved his hand to his face, swiftly running it along his jaw line.

Nick should have thought of this, he should have known.

"Jeff, why would you hide this from me?"

Jeff's heart sank. He was reminded of it in that exact moment as he felt an intense throbbing come from the right side of his mouth. In fact, he had felt it quite a few times. It had become pretty annoying and he had to admit that he had been living off of painkillers for the last few days. The pain was so bad that he had contemplated telling Nick more than once, but he had always ended up backing out.

The problem was that Nick was very caring. Jeff's dentist husband was so nice with him in that matter, Jeff had never had a bad experience with him, sure, but he was still scared as hell of what he did. Nick had forced him into cleanings for the past few years, but Jeff had always put up a fight.
Since the pain started, he had avoided Nick. The good thing was that this was quite normal. Jeff's company had gone through the roof in business and he had been very busy for the past few months. Both men were used to not spending a lot of time together, unless it was Sunday, family day.

"How bad is the pain?" Nick halted Jeff's thoughts.

"What pain?" Jeff asked, pretending not to know. Part of him wanted to tell Nick, but the devil on his shoulder told him not to do it, this urge was stronger, though Jeff was fairly certain that Nick knew already.

Nick shook his head, looking way too exculpating. "Baby, really... You look like a hamster, this is serious. I wish I could tell you something else, but we need to take care of it now."

Jeff shook his head. He didn't want to do this, nope. It was bad enough that Nick knew now. "It will fade, don't worry."

"So it does hurt... Why do you insist on keeping these things from me? I wish I could help you. I mean, have I ever hurt you?" Nick said shaking his head now.

Jeff bit his lip, closed his eyes, and buried his face in his hands. He sobbed a little. "No, but..." He felt Nick's strong arm around his shoulder and heard the soft breathing in his ear.

"Hush, hushhh..." Nick said slowly, after a few seconds of just holding Jeff.

Jeff was still not looking up at Nick, but the protectiveness of his arms were calming him down a little. The thing was, he didn't even know why he feared the whole ordeal so badly. Sure, having to have your mouth open for ages, feeling the vibration of the drill in your mouth, or even worse, hearing the sound of it, wasn't exactly pleasant, but it was still much better than the pain he was currently in. Or at least that's what he thought in his brave moments. Whenever he'd see Nick those calming thoughts would vanish and the only thing he could think of was potential pain. Pain he hadn't faced in years, pain that he would probably never face again.

"Baby, it's gonna be fine. You don't have to feel this much longer, believe me. We just need to get to the office and take a look at it, okay?"

That was way too fast, he couldn't do it now, he would at least need a good night's rest first. "No, I mean, we can't leave Stella here alone. We can just wait, it might be gone by tomorrow," Jeff said in a lame attempt of delaying it all.

Nick shook his head. He then put on a warm smile. "We can't leave this anymore. You actually have a temperature and a swollen cheek, this is an emergency situation, baby. Easy to handle for me, but not so great for your body. We need to get this done tonight. I'll just call Kurt."

Tonight? Jeff felt even more tears escaping at this point. "But... But, he might be busy."

Nick stroked Jeff's back a little. "Then we'll find someone else. Or we take her with us, but we're not risking your health."

Jeff felt a shiver move down his spine. His body was soaked in a cold sweat already. Nick had left the room and Jeff could hear the muffled sound of him talking to Kurt through the door. A wave of pain, which made him tear up even more, made the situation scarily weird. He had never been in pain that was as agonising as it was right now. Not that he could think of anyway, and he wished it to be over with. He wasn't sure if he could actually go through with the procedure ahead of him in order for it to go away.
