Note: I don't own Degrassi. This based on the American Hi-Fi song. It's a Toby fic... No one pays attention to him so I thought I should. It might not be too funny. But I'm bored so it might not be good either. So that's why it's really OOC and short and stuff. It's just for fun. I wrote this a long, long time ago... Like last summer. Here goes nothing.

The Geek Gets The Girl

Tonight's the night he's gonna get it right...
...Tonight is the night when the geeks get the girls

Toby walks into his senior prom hoping that he can finally drop his 'geek' image. He strutted his way to the refreshments table. Everyone looked at him and whispered something about him. Either "geek at 5 'o' clock" or "when the hell did he get so confident?" Well, that's what the guys said anyway. Whatever it was, Toby heard it but didn't let it stop him. When he got to the punch bowl, he smiled and winked at Manny. She smiled and walked over to him.

"Hey Toby." She said. She was impressed by his new-found confidence. "Want to dance?"

Emma walked up to Toby and Manny and said to Manny, "No, Toby wants to dance with me!"

"Toby can dance with both of us." Manny told Emma and looked over at Toby.

Just then, Liberty came over with JT following her. "Hi Toby. Would you like to dance?"

JT's jaw dropped. "I thought you were here with me Liberty!"

"Silly JT. Toby is a man. You... You're not." She said without taking her eyes off Toby. "So what do you say Toby? Care to dance with me?"

In a perfect world, all the geeks get the girls

Toby started sweating. "Um, sure ladies..." He walked on the dance floor with all the girls.

After dancing with the girls, he walked back over to the punch bowl. He told the girls to wait for him on the dance floor. JT, Spinner, Danny, Derrick, and Jimmy all went up to him. "How the hell did that happen?" Jimmy asked.

"I don't know." Toby said. "I guess I'm on a streak here." He laughed and finished his punch. Then we walked back to the dance floor and joined the ladies in another dance.

All the freaks are on a winning streak...

The prom was almost over when he decided to stop dancing. Toby was exhausted. He walked back over to the punch bowl and drank some more punch. He felt someone tap his shoulder.

"Hi Toby... Want to dance the last dance with me?" He heard a familiar voice say.

"I don't know..." He turned around and saw Kendra standing there. "Oh sure." He smiled and walked with Kendra to the dance floor.

Even losers can get lucky sometime...
