She's not dead
55 year old Mona Vanderwaal is back in Rosewood for the first time since she was 29.
She stand in front of a grave.
As the sun shine upon the grave the name on it is revealed.
The grave has "Mona Vanderwaal - RIP" engraved on it.
"They never knew that I did not die." says Mona.
Back when she turned 29, Mona faked her own death and she had plastic surgery to change her appearance and moved away.
"In a way, my real self did die that day. I've not been Mona ever since. I became Emma Granger." says Mona. "Leaving everything behind was not easy for me, but it was not nearly as hard as it would've been to stay here."
Mona had her surgery reversed a year ago and now is herself again.
When she moved away at age 29 she moved a very long way, all the way to Japan, as a matter of fact. Tokyo, to be exact.
There she got a job at Silver Gamers, a video game company.
She did quit that job a year ago, shortly before having her true physical appearance restored.
"Okay...welcome home, Mona Rose Vanderwaal." says Mona with a sexy smile.
During the walk back to her car, Mona happen to meet Hanna Marin who of course is old now too.
"Holy crap!" gasp Hanna when she sees Mona, since she thought Mona was dead.
"Hi, Han. I'm not a ghost or some shit like that." says Mona with a sweet smile.
"Mona, how can you be alive? I was at your funeral. I saw them place your body in your grave." says Hanna.
"That wasn't me. I faked it all. Katy Manduula, a chick who looked like me and had died of cancer, was being placed in the grave in my place while I moved to Japan." says Mona.
"Why?" says Hanna.
"I did it to protect you and Mike. Eclentah Vinculus threatened to kill those who still were important to me if I didn't leave Rosewood." says Mona.
"You'll be happy to find out that she's dead. Spencer killed her." says Hanna.
"Okay. That means I owe Spencer something." says Mona.
"Not really. Spencer did it for the so-called 'greater good' as she call it." says Hanna.
"Good. How are things around here these days?" says Mona.
"Pretty sweet. Caleb and I are still married and we have two kids named David and Britney." says Hanna.
"Oh, wonderful." says Mona. "What happened to Mike?"
"He's still alive and waiting for you, even though we all were sure that you're dead." says Hanna.
"I wanna meet him." says Mona.
25 minutes later.
"Mona?" says Mike Montgomery.
"Yes, man. It's me." says Mona.
"I knew you didn't really die. Where have you been all these years?" says Mike.
"Tokyo, Japan under the fake identity of Emma Granger." says Mona.
"Can't say I'm happy that you left me behind, but I am sure pleased that you're finally back." says Mike.
Mona smile and gives Mike a kiss.
Mike and Mona start dating again.
Mona moves in with Mike.
She also resume her friendship with Hanna.
2 days later.
"I've decided to marry Mike and he'll help me to find a job." says Mona.
"That's wonderful." says Hanna.
"Yes, Han." says Mona.
"Do you think Aria is okay with you and Mike getting married...?" says Hanna.
"She is. She told me so a few hours ago." says Mona.
"Nice." says Hanna.
"Indeed." says Mona.
"So sweet." says Hanna.
Mona's life is finally awesome again and she can truly be herself.
