Wherever You Go, We'll Follow
It was the Saturday after the students of Hogwarts had returned home after the death of Dumbledore. The trio had gone straight to the Burrow and were sitting in Ron's bedroom. "So when do we start our adventure?' Ron asked, "What do you mean?" Hermione asked, looking up from Hogwarts; A History. "You know, defeating v-Voldermort," Ron said running a hand through his hair. There was silence.
"You know you guys don't have to come with me. I mean, I can do it alone," Harry whispered looking down, "I don't want you two, to feel like it's your job-" "Harry we know we don't have to, but we're going with you… not because we feel like we have to, because we're a team and we want to help you. No-one should have to go through something like this alone," Hermione stated cutting Harry off. "But-" Harry began. "Mate, you know that no matter what you say Hermione and I are going with you, so just let it go," Ron ended the conversation.
"I just don't want this to be our last adventure. I don't want you guys to get hurt at my expense- or worse," Harry added, Hermione rolled her eyes, "If we chose to throw ourselves in front of you, to stop you being hurt, that will our choice and our choice alone," Ron said in a matter-of-fact tone. "Besides," Hermione added, "Even if something does happen to one of us… and the worst occurs, we'll never truly leave each other," Hermione continued thoughtfully.
"How can you be so sure? What if when we die we never see each other again, and that's the end?" Ron asked curiously. "We're willing to die for each other, so even death won't be able to keep us apart," Hermione said smiling as Ron and Harry nodded. "If one of us dies, it won't be the end, it'll be the next greatest adventure in our lives," Harry said optimistically.
They were willing to die for each other, that's what made them such good friends. Their friendship went beyond what other people's friendships did. It would go on forever.
"What if we live, then drift apart from each other," Harry asked holding back tears. "That won't happen," said Ron, "I would never let that happen. We've been through too much together, none of us could just pick up our bags and leave. We'll always be together," Hermione smiled at her best friends.
"How do you know that that we will always be together?" Ron asked. "I don't, you just have to believe it and have a little faith. We all do," Hermione answered. There was a peaceful silence. Harry broke it.
"I'm hungry… hey… because you guys love me so much, will you bring me a snack?" Harry asked and got a pillow thrown at him in reply. "Fat chance Potter," Ron chuckled. Harry looked insulted, "Oh, so you'll come with me to destroy the most evil wizard in the world, but you won't make me a bloody sandwich!" Harry said, Hermione giggled. "Yup," Hermione and Ron said in unison.
I HOPED YOU LIKED IT! JUST SOMETHING I CAME UP WITH BEFORE MY HOCKEY FINALS!
