L looked different today. It was hard to tell whether it was a good or bad different to any normal person, but to Light it was fairly easy. For Christ sake, he was chained to him for months.
Light didn't know how to decide what to do about L's seemingly increasing issue with Kira. As he obviously couldn't tell him the truth. But he also knew that he couldn't keep lying to L, his conciounce wouldn't let him. Especially not with his increasing feelings. He had known L since elementary school. Light and him had been friends for quite a while, which was why two things: 1. he didn't want to spoil their friendship, and two he didn't understand why L suspected him of being Kira. But at the same time, he expected it completely.
Just like L should have been expecting what was coming.
L and Light were doing work alone like normal. L fully awake, searching for stuff on Kira. And Light completely exhausted, completely the opposite of the insomniac when it came to sleep. Though, Light could tell L was getting a little anxious. He hadn't had sugar in a while. Could that be why...?
He decided to get up. "Where are you going?" L's voice echoed in the room as it was silent. "I'm going to get something to eat," knowing fully well that L would try and come with him. L stood up without another word and followed Light to the kitchen. Light knew he was hungry. He hadn't had sugar in about a day. That's exactly what was different. That's when Light caught him off-gaurd. Before he put any sugar into his system, Light pinned L against the wall and kissed him on the lips. L was obviously caught by surprise, but he didn't push away. He didn't give in either, however. He just stood there motionless. No way he could have guessed Light was going to do that. After about a minute, when Light started to pull away, L pulled him back and kissed him back passionately. They stood there like that for a few minutes, when, finally, they broke apart as Ryuzaki obviously wanted his food. Light and L didn't go back to work on the Kira case after that.
