This is a short story.

Draco was dueling Antonin Dolohov.

Hermione was dueling Augustus Rookwood.

Draco succeeded in dueling Dolohov. Dolohov was lying there, unconscious. Draco approached Rookwood.

'Let go of her! Duel me instead!' Draco said.

'Draco, my boy, are you actually defending this poor little Mudblood?'

'Stupefy!' Draco said. Rookwood fell, unconscious.

'Thank you Draco.' Both Draco and Hermione ran, but Bellatrix apparated and screamed,

'Avada Kedavra!' The curse almost hit Hermione by an inch. It hit Draco instead.

'No!' Almost everybody stopped their dueling and took a look at where the source of the scream was. It was from Hermione, kneeling beside a dead Draco. Each and every face was shocked. Bellatrix clicked her tongue.

'Poor little Mudblood. Is it enough? I cannot wait to kill the bloodtraitor Weasley.' Bellatrix taunted. Hermione stood up confidently, and cast an Unforgivable at Bellatrix, which finished her off easily.

During the funeral, Mcgonagall said a few words before the bodies were buried.

'Today, we acknowledge terrible losses, especially Draco Malfoy. Before his 6th Year, he was forced to be a Death Eater to save his family. The people who died….'

'Excluding Death Eaters and Voldemort, of course.' Mcgonagall muttered to herself.

'Will never die in vain. They suffered a lot for us. Don't forget that!'

Hermione had a fast flashback of all the memories she had with Draco. She tried to swallow all the tears, but she gave up, letting them all flow at her face. After a few minutes, she wiped off the tears.

'Draco will never die in vain.'

Little did the survivors know that the ghost of Draco saw all this.

After the funeral, Hermione visited Draco's tomb and conjured a flowers.

'I miss you Draco.' Hermione sobbed, but quickly wiped all tears away. Little did she know that the ghost of Draco followed her to see her one last time and leave forever.
